Long time user of this app. Was always great until Meta took over. Issues I've been dealing with lately are that scheduled posts do not post. Just says there was an error, but will not tell you what the error was. Also will not allow me to schedule more than 4 posts at a time, although the Insta help pages claim that you can schedule up to 25 at a time. Another frustrating feature is that the app attempts to auto scroll while watching reels before the reel I'm watching is even finished playing.

The dark theme renders everything in the app useless, and there's no way to change it back to light. Clicking on a link and then returning to the app results in a white text ans icons on white backgrounds glitch. It doesn't go away unless you close and reopen the app. Even without clicking a link there are still times when the app gives you white backgrounds for no reason--e.g. when you go to manage drafts or edit a post with multiple photos. I have screenshots if needed.

Over the past 2 months the app has been frezzing. I can't click on anything once I open the app, and I can't even scroll down to see posts without it crashing. This makes it impossible to use. I have tried uninstalling and downloading the app multiple times in hopes it would fix the problem but it has been unsuccessful. The only way I can get on Instagram is by using the Google chrome app and going directly to the Instagram website... Please fix!

This app is losing functionality, not gaining. Accessibility is dropping, the UI has become abhorrent, and necessary settings are nowhere to be found. My most recent issue is that when I tried to turn off the duplication of photos posted into the photo gallery, the original setting that allowed this to be disabled has vanished, with no way of finding it via searching for it in the settings. Not only is the UI getting significantly worse, but the app itself runs more poorly with each update added

Joyless unreliable app, esp if you want to preserve orig dimensions. (Their revert option still cuts off 1/4 to 1/3 in portrait.) The selection process is tedious and frequently after I've edited my pics it will maybe post a few upside down, or maybe backout of my post entirely so I get to repeat the process. It doesn't like to mesh with dif ecosys. Videos, however, they make a complete breeze, so if you want to hot tub cook spaghetti in your belly piercing and rep your OF, you're good.

The app has really gone downhill, and is turning into garbage. Especially ever since they removed the functionality of hashtags, and removed recents. Just because it isn't popular, doesn't mean it isn't good. If you are trying to start an account, good luck. They've made it impossible to actually get a following, and reach anywhere. The app also doesn't function well to begin with. It freezes, refreshes weirdly, and doesn't load properly. I honestly might uninstall at this point.

Every change to the algorithm just makes it worse. Your posts and even reels aren't shown to the vast majority of your followers, the people who actively want to see your content. And making reels, the only thing Instagram wants, is near impossible as the app crashes every time I try to make one. Not to mention, in the past when I was able to make them, there would always be some small glitch no matter what. Whether it was audio or text lagging, or text becoming incredibly warped, etc, always.

The app and website aren't loading, and I try to clear out everything on setting for this Instagram app. Plus, I also made sure Instagram was updated. I can't even download regular pictures. The resizing them is hardable. You get half the photo. It's not like downloading photos on Facebook. Please fix it. I've been going on for a couple of days now.

Not too pleased. Can't edit messages I just posted or copy it's text. Gotta start over. Can't see posts from others that I can see in the browser. Mobile version strips out basic features. The app itself is nearly 1/3 of an entire gigabyte! The list goes on. Also very flashy and short attention span oriented, not healthy for one's brain.

I have taken a 2 month break from Instagram and it's been wonderful. The app has too many ads and not enough control over what is in the feed, but I like being able to share and connect with friends. I tried many times to deactivate my account and it would not deactivate. Made me anxious because people were sending me messages. Please fix the deactivate settings, I like being able to log back on when I want to. (Android)

The app was working perfectly fine for the longest time and just randomly when I go to pick a song for my story it doesn't show all the ones that I have used before. Like when I look up a very popular or normal song before it would show up but now it doesn't show it at all for any songs. The app is completely updated and my phone's updated so I don't know what the issue is and they need to fix it because it's bad.

I used to like this app, but the constant notifications about broadcast channels are beyond frustrating and annoying. I have to turn off the notifications manually per person and even then I still get notifications for them. You have to click several different things to find the hidden notification toggle to turn it off. It's ridiculous! There NEEDS to be a better way to turn them all off and never get them again.

First of all the constant notifications are getting way too much. For some reason, the seek bars have been placed way too close to the bottom controls. You try to seek back to a part of the video you end up going into search, also I miss the old refresh where are you had to hold it down a few seconds. I hate the instant refresh where if you pull it down it refreshes right away.

This app is down on a regular basis. constant login issues. Why don't you just have a big warning that says never logout because you might not be able to log back in again. I'm also sick and tired of not being able to change what bookmarked filters show on my filter wheel for stories. When uploading pictures from phone to stories. I don't get any of my book marked filters. I'm so over instagram. Get it together!!!

Auto refresh is incredibly annoying. It usually happens while I am in the middle of looking through the pics on a post! I am perfectly capable of deciding on my own when I want to refresh my feed. The number of ads and suggested posts seems to be steadily increasing. I follow people so I can actually look at their pics, not spend half an hour mostly scrolling past other stuff. App is steadily becoming worse.

Can't save posts. The app has had an issue for a long time where you'll open it scroll for a bit and then it will refresh and you can't see the posts you were just looking at. There's an issue with viewing profiles after clicking links from other sites and apps. When you view the pictures on them and hit the back button it takes you to the home page and not the person's page

Was downloading a reel and it wouldn't stop in 'posting' mode. Couldn't stop it. Didn't show up in drafts. Went on and on and on. App is updated, phone is up to date. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Now, when I try to log in, it keeps telling me there's an error and to try again. Changed password multiple times to see if that helped. Nope.

I've been using this app since 2018, and I've never experienced something like this, so it's quite upsetting. Starting two days ago, both of my instagram accounts started acting up, I couldn't see my friends' stories or posts, I couldn't see reels, or music notes, or post anything myself. Whenever I refresh, it says error. My explore page won't load. A few days ago, my Instagram started crashing and kicking me from the app whenever I would try to post something or put a song.
