Appearing Weekly
Paid $3.99 for a trail subscription and spent an hour on the app. It's basically (from what I can tell) a glorified watering reminder. You can only add 2 plants (without paying more) and the diagnosis function is generalized. Depending on the picture you take, accesses different info from the database. It could be overwater or underwater or insects for the same plant. "Ask a botanist" is $25 (more than my little plant!) Now I have to figure out how to cancel the auto-renew. Caveat emptor!

Very confusing log in. I automatically trys to get you to sign up for the subscription with two different offers. I exited out of both but it said even though the basic was selected that the account will automatically renew and you have to turn it off if you don't want to pay. I could not find a subscription or account payment option in the app. I deleted my account, and uninstalled the app. I am just hoping I don't get charged.

Love this app, it identified all of the plants I've taken a photo of and it seems very accurate. The only downside I have is that you have to subscribe monthly/annually. I would gladly pay $3-5 usd for this app as a one time fee, I just can't get behind paying a monthly subscription. Plus, I'm only home six months out of the year, no way I'm paying for six months where I cannot use it.

Right after trying this app I subscribed b/c I knew it would be a game changer. I spent several days adding all of my plants and getting them on a schedule. All was great until I downloaded the app onto another device. Unfortunately, the device I'd been using to add all my plants hadn't synced to the server in 3 weeks, so the new device got an old list of my plants and when I synced my main device everything was erased! Developer says they fixed the issue so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Not worth a subscription! This is a fine app. I really love the ability to keep track of plant care with reminders. I also really like the ability to indentify unknown plants via picture, wish it was more accurate though. The limited list of available plants and varieties is a big problem for me. Either you need to be more diligent about making sure you have every possible known plant and variety in your database or you need to allow for users to add to the database as missing plants are found.

Eta: 9/29/22- I have to take a star off because the app no longer syncs between phones with any consistency. We had to uninstall/reinstall, and our apps apparently hadn't synced with the cloud for over a month. Now our calculations are totally messed up and the app doesn't show what upcoming waterings are scheduled. Frustrating! *** Blossom has been a godsend for taking care of my plants, and it's improving all the time! Well worth the subscription, my plants are flourishing.

The most recent update(s) have resulted in this app being almost completely useless. The reminders aren't resetting properly, marking a plant as watered is clunky, and delaying a reminder seems to not do anything anymore. Further, the "upcoming" reminders tab no longer shows any watering scheduled. This entire feature just seems to have completely stopped working.

Constantly Crashing! Lately this app has been crashing every day and every time I use it. Will freeze in the middle of use. And then when I go to open it the next day, it hasn't saved any data from the day prior, ie. will not show that I fertilized/watered and will show as the same reminder the next day. I have over 70 plants I'm trying to maintain and this isn't helping any longer. I am also not getting my daily reminders either.

Seems like there is missing data now. Plants I've had in my garden now are missing information as well at the picture. Pictures I've saved in notes also seem to be replaced with the Blossom icon. What's going on? Update 6/11/22 The data was refreshed and viewable again! I love how easy this app is to use and understand. Can't wait to see how it grows and develops further.

I love this app, but recently it's had a lot of glitches that take away it's main features. I am unable to snooze tasks at the moment. Also, if I miss a day of watering (and don't check off that I watered them), the next day, those watering tasks will not be in my to do list... That makes it very confusing to know which plants need to be watered. Additionally, sometimes the task will not even have a check box on it, so marking it as complete is impossible. This used to not happen. Please fix!

Used to be good. Now nothing but CONSTANT issues and bugs in the app. It deleted all my plant photos, I waited 1.5 months to add them back & the very next day they were gone again. Super frustrating. Now it has not been notifying me when it's time to water. Usually water every week, it's been almost 2 weeks & have not been notified. Check the app & it doesn't have anything listed as needing watering, even though it's all past due. Have emailed customer service multiple times. Garbage.

The plant identification works well. UI is great and the app is intuitive. Allowed to add two plants with the free version. That's unfortunate. The constant full screen ads pushing to subscribe is annoying and made me uninstall the app. There's another app that offers a better experience and it's not limiting my use just because I haven't subscribed to the service.

Good, but could use some tweaks. The app mostly identifies plants correctly, but for a new indoor plant enthusiast it's hard to tell because not every variety looks the same. More pictures of varieties need to be added to the "gallery." Also there is no way to change/edit/update reminders. I set most of my watering reminders to the standard, but now I don't need to water that often and I have no way to change that.

I love the concept. Execution needs work. A few of my plants weren't identifiable when I first got started. I would really like there to be a snooze option for the push notifications that come up. I'm mostly frustrated with not having my plants back after having my phone wiped, especially with paying for the premium sub. It's a good enough app that I'll probably just go and take all the pictures again, but it is super frustrating.

Works okay as a basic reminder app, but not very good as an in-depth plant care tool. It lacks some pretty vital functions, like editing a plant after you've added it. So if you want to change the pot size, you need to delete the entire plant and start over. It also lacks the ability to set universal time reminders. The default time is 8am. If you want your reminders at a different time, you need to manually adjust it for every single plant.

Beautiful layout, and great app in concept. However the ability to only set 2 reminders before the subscription is required is a huge deterrent. The basic version is free, but the sub is brought up every few minutes making using the free version near impossible. I was just hoping for a simple way to take care of the few plants I own, but I uninstalled within minutes.

Good app, that's very useful for my plant needs! I've been much more attentive and they're blossoming wonderfully. However, I have to give it 3 starts, because there is something seriously desynchronized between when you complete an item and what the "days since last {water/fertilize}" shows on the different views. I have been very particular with completing items, and often when I go to do things again they're miscalculated. It's extremely frustrating.

Great app. It has helped me so much with watering my plants and keeping track of their needs. Although the slider for selecting the pot size is hard to use, and I would like to be able to use the metric system for watering. Edit: Updated from 4 to 5 stars due to the latest update. They added the ability to use the metric system alongside some other things, which makes watering my plants so much easier. The sliders are still a little annoying to use, but maybe they'll fix it soon.
