Our school district started using this system at the beginning of Sep. Been a huge hassle! 98% of the time I can't switch away from the child the screen is currently on to view my other children's grades etc. I get notifications saying that my child's grade has changed. When I go to the app it doesn't reflect this. Getting error msgs that the app is having problems syncing. Tried installing on hubby's phone yesterday & it wouldn't even let us finish the set up, just kept circling over & over.

Powerschool is frustrating. The notifications are so long they are cut off - the important part is usually what is cut off. When you click on the notification, you don't find that thing you were notified about in the app. Case in point, my child's attendance notifications this morning. Grades are not sortable in any way to be sure you are looking at the most recent (frequently the most recent is not at the top or the bottom of the list)

App is pretty good, but seems a little glitchy. I'm an Android user, my husband has an Apple, and I don't have the same functionality, such as the Schedule tab at the bottom, that he does. Also, its challenging to get the most recent data. I swipe to refresh over and over and I may, eventually, or may not, get the current data, when comparing to hubby's Apple. Overall it's a great tool to see what's going on at school ... much easier than trying to get accurate info from my teenager!

In the last couple weeks the notifications have stopped working on my Samsung galaxy. I can see grade changes and absences if I purposefully go in and check, but no notifications. Is this a software glitch update with my phone or the app? I've tried uninstalling the app, turning off the phone for a minute, turning it back on and reinstalling. I've checked both under phone settings and app settings that notifications are enabled. And still doesn't work! Frustrating!

Appears that the last version release broke a bunch of stuff. I still get push notifications about grade changes/updates, but if I tap the notification and log into the app, the data won't update. It was always slow to update and frequently required a manual refresh (pull down on the screen) to get updated grade and assignment information, but now it behaves like it's updating, but never does. Only thing that works is deleting all data and logging in again. Even uninstalled and reinstalled.

The app was fine until the most recent update. Now it's basically useless. The push notifications say there's a grade change, then you go to the app and nothing has changed doesn't matter if you refresh the app or not. It needs to be fixed or I'm going to pushing for the school to use a different source to help the parents and students track progress

The layout is great. But for a while, I wasn't receiving notifications, I started having to refresh the Q1 every time in order to see any updates on any new homework assignments. It only gives you notifications for grades. So if there's a way to fix this so I can get notifications of assignments, that would be awesome. 👍🏼😁 If not, then I'll just deal and keep refreshing, I guess.

I used to get notifications all the time for attendance and grade changes. Although both are enabled, I no longer receive notifications. I uninstalled and reinstalled but it didn't fix the issue. Also, last year, it defaulted to the current semester. This year it defaults to 22/23. I have to manually toggle to the current semester.

Last Update - Epic Failure! So many other reviews state the same thing but yet no changes! Haven't seen real-time data in weeks! The app was working great until someone decided to update it. If they can't fix the issue, they should go back to the previous version. I get notifications but can't even see the grades since the first part of March. Surely they know the app doesn't work. Please fix it soon!

Lots of nice features. Only works if teachers use it! Also, app has frequent crashes. My phone sends me warnings and is always wanting to disable it b/c it is unstable. I finally uninstalled and reinstalled it. It rejected my password, so I tried to reset it. It is rejecting all my attempts to reset! Hating this app right now, as it does no good when I can't use it.

PS worked fine before the upgrade. Now there are no dates on the assignment due, no tab for upcoming assignments, to email a teacher it goes straight to Microsoft and I don't have an email account with them so that isn't helpful. It would be beneficial to have options when emailing...ie, gmail, Yahoo, etc. This app has basically become worthless as I have to access the desk top version to get the full picture of student status and even that is very confusing and hard to navigate.

My grades don't update, but it still sends me notifications every time it changes. The app also doesn't update when new assignments are created. The website works fine but the app just doesn't work. It's really frustrating having to sign in with 5 million things on my school chromebook just to check a grade. It's actually frustrating to even have to take it out of my bag because it's so heavy and inconvenient for quickly checking something. Fix this.

This app stopped working weeks ago and no matter what I do, it won't fix. I tried emailing support but never got a response. I get an error that it has trouble syncing and that's it. It just showed my kids and their grades from weeks ago. I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but it got worse. I can't even search for my school to add it now.

This is perhaps the worst application that I have ever tried, and if it weren't mandatory for my school district, I wouldn't touch this with a 20 foot pole. To begin, the app never works, because one of the 3 sign-ins you need to complete to open the app is always down. That said, if the 1% chance of the sign-in working occurs, the interface of the app itself is clunky and unresponsive. It also just isn't pleasing to look at, especially at night, with it's nearly all white menus.

The app was pretty helpful until I started getting "Unknown Error". It won't refresh with new information. I get notifications when information changea but the changes aren't there when I open the app. I tried to give it some time to correct but nothing. I'm seeing multiple people commenting that they're having the same issue so it's crazy that this has been going on so long without a resolution.

Worked great for my kids grades last year. This school year the app constantly was saying I need to enter the passcode and it still would not work. Now it says I am not connected to the internet. I have updated. Uninstalled. Reloaded and tried eveything I can think of. What's worse, is this is the only option for their school. But they are looking into something different.

Like so many others, I've been unable to use this app recently because of its inability to communicate with the server. It is really frustrating here at the end of the year! But I found that clearing the cache and logging back in worked for me. Maybe that will help others? Would have given five stars if PowerSchool had provided the answer themselves.

I HATE the redesign! It looks like a child designed it and is harder to see all the grades at once. I don't use this app because it needs to be fun or colorful. I use this app to keep track of my students grades, assignments and schedules. The old design was simple, straight forward and I could sort the grades for specific quarters or semesters. Now I can't adjust to see only what's relevant, I have to sort through colorful boxes instead. My IOS friends loved my Android version until the redesign
