I mean, this app is great, very different from other and good for practicing, but it's so frustrating the issue a out the microphone where I say the word perfectly and never process it and keep saying is wrong, PLEASE FIX THE MIC ISSUE. So I can give you a 5 stars again. I purchased the app, do not disappoint me

It's good for when you already know some of the language and want to get some phrases down by heart. It forces you to speak, which is good, but as others have said, the voice recognition is somewhat buggy at times. It's not good if you want to learn a language from scratch, or want to have the grammar explained to you. You literally just learn phrases by heart. Also, the lessons don't really build on each other - whether that's good or bad probably depends on how you want to use this app.

Inspite of similar financial requirements as duolingo, the performance is significantly far superior to duolingo in most standard range possible, resembling duolingo in early 2010s in early-mid 21st century, the main issues that the video advertisement is mostly overwhelmingally high quantity that degrades the overall performance of the application

I'm a visual learner so this is such a great app with learning new vocabularies in French. And I love that they don't have a lot of ads and you can review as much as you want without worrying if you still have a "life refill" or not. I love the app and it's quite impressive with the quality of images they use.

it's a good application for learning a language with fun. I like it, it is better than other apps i used before but I faced a minor issue which is you can't learn more than one language using the same account for free. however, you can learn multiple languages by premium but you have to pay for the year and you can cancel it anytime 🥰

Worthless, you just get adds, ads, and ads, when trying to ask for help so do you get ignored and never hear back from them, when trying to do something so will you just see an ad for their own app over and over again. The design is great but the ads, lack of help/answering staff and no verified way to get rid of the ads makes it kinda pointless.

A must app to try if you wanna learn a language. It's absolutely fantastic. Makes you speak and listen to language, seamlessly working your memory. It's app design is minimalistic and doesn't put you through multiple tabs to switch between languages. Speak and learn, from the beginning you're immersing yourself in ths speaking world of any language on this app. Easy to build a habit with. Thanks Falou 😊🫶

I am recently very frustrated with some of the sections in the course. One in particular is the word DIX HEURES under "Going on a trip with a friend". I followed exactly what the prerecording aid said to no avail even after 50 attempts. I even tried it with a horrible accent. Is there a way we can make a remark or send our recordings to the developers to fix this. I can't get 3 stars for that lesson and I'm going nuts! Please developers make a button so we can report a sections of the courses.

I like it. Definitely useful for those looking to practice speaking. I would have given 5 stars but the app had some trouble picking up my voice for some parts of the lessons (didn't happen often and it seems like it only happens with short words/responses). Additionally, it would be great if they offered Japanese as well. Please add Japanese to the list soon! Thanks!

Voice detection in this app is terrible at "u"/"o" sounds. I'm doing the Dutch course and have pronounced the word "doizend" in the same sentence 45 times without recognition. In isolation exercises of only that word, it recognizes me. In sentence repeat, it NEVER recognizes my "u"s. I dont have this problem with other app Dutch courses. It's a shame because I really like the format of Falou, but if the tech just isn't there yet I'm going to need a refund for the paid version I purchased.

App says it has in app purchases. In fact you get a short free trial then get stuck in a continual loop of the same ad, where some condescending cartoon tells me if I just gave up fast food for the weekend I could afford to use the app for a year. I'm sorry, but that alone puts me off using the app paid or not. I very rarely eat fast food and never spend enough to cover the subscription. I know this shouldn't anger me, but the stupid cartoon man just pushed my buttons big time.

6/october/23: update. Still no improvement to voice recognition. 5/july/23: The voice recognition is terrible. It doesn't even recognise that I am speaking. The app concept is good and has potential. However, I will not be using this app until better developed. Definitely not paying for a subscription when it has these issues. No thanks.

I guess it is really personal, but I felt really uncomfortable watching motivation videos with cartoon young people looking a bit differently If the software developer tried to make app inclusive, it is total fale. There will be people of different ages and body shapes learning a language. Also I can't always skip this and they just very strange.

Absolutely terrible implementation on the microphone use. Tapping the mic as instructed doesn't do anything, longer tap sometimes gets a foggy animation but it doesn't recognise any speech, ironically 🙄. This useless app caused me to spend an hour testing and troubleshooting my phone's mic which works perfectly in other apps. Unable to pass even the first exercise, no option to do a text exercise either. Awful. (Other users report similar, get it sorted out!)

The app is great but the constant prompting to pay every 2mins is highly annoying. Let me actually have a look at the app and how it teaches before you keep pushing me to pay pay pay. Would be nice if they offered a trial on more than one language. I wanted to see how the harder languages like Chinese were taught as well. Now thst I've reached the end of the trial, I can even go back and look and my progress, but instead keep getting the same video popping up again and again. Put me off paying

It is so fun and it was what I was looking for long time ago, something that takes care of all the details, conducting an easy conversation and learning new words in all aspects and the verbs. I had hard time at first because the video that pops up after every lesson but after it stopped showing the learning was faster and more fun. Also the quality of the words and the pictures are very good. Thank you for working so much to create such an app that helps a lot of language learners.

Of all the apps I've ever purchased, this is without a doubt the worst. The voice recognition is just so poor. I have tested and pronounced things purposely bad, yet the app registers it. For others, where I confidently say the correct word, the app says I didn't. There's a lack of consistency. A poorly designed app - not worth the time or money.
