By far the best way to learn coding that i've found so far. It's core features are free, they teach a wide variety of languages, and it's functional on mobile. Their lessons are sometimes a little confusing, but i think that just has to do with the difficulty of the subject taught. But that's not an issue because each lesson has a comment section below it that will explain things even better than the lesson did. Overall, 10/10 app. I've recommended it to many people already

I've tried a few programming education apps over the last year, and uninstalled half of them. This one has stood the test of time with me. Tons of lessons and exercises available on a free plan, which I've been using most of the time. Recently got a trial of the Pro plan, which has even more. Plenty of community explanations available when stuck.

I keep having to restart the app every couple or three questions as it stalls or simply won't light up the button needed to move on. At least it picks back up where I left off but it's getting really annoying. However, the format is easy to understand and I can see finding this very useful. Hoping this bug gets fixed soon, since I see others having the same issue.

I love this app, I 100% recommend it to anyone that is getting into programming. This app has tons of programming languages to learn, it's amazing. It's been only a few hours and my understanding of c# is much much better! The ads aren't even annoying, you don't get many ads at all, and when you do you either have to wait 5 seconds, or you can close it instantly. Amazing app, definitely use it if your trying to learn any programming language.

Sololearn has proven to be an excellent tool to have in your back pocket whether you are brand new to coding, or just need a refresher. With the proper discipline, you can learn the foundation of any language in a day! There are countless lessons and languages to choose from and the lesson plan structure is engaging and rewarding. After spending more time with the app I have found the "live code" tests are a bit picky with the case used even when not pertaining to code. IE: print ("amazing")

I love this App. I have been working on programming for a little while and I finally started taking formal classes Thanks to this app, I have a lot of experience and I am learning that I already knew the majority of the skills. There are a few shortcomings: certain lessons such as the algorithm lesson are incomplete, that is to say, they don't present concrete examples of how to implement the algorithms which left me fairly confused. There also seems to be a stigma that beginners are capable of creating somewhat complicated programs such as the challenge to turn a string of a date into a date that references a day of the week. Even with all the formal lessons and Solo Learn lessons, so still can't figure out that one. While it's probably simple but it probably isn't incredibly simple.

This app is fantastic for learning to code. They don't do what textbooks do which is explain with words what your doing for multiple pages before showing you how to do it. Instead there are brief explanations of what's going on before they give you an example program and show you what they mean, plus each one of these examples is fully interact able so you can mess with it to try things. They have problems to solve and quizzes to test you. This is everything you need to learn to code.

I want to give one star but that would be a bit harsh. Its a very very good learning tool, and I've been using it to learn Javascript recently as my computer science classes aren't teaching me as well as I'd like them to. However, there are so many ads in this app now. I dont mind an ad after I complete a lesson, but theres ads built into the page on the lesson pages. This makes it hard to distinguish between lesson and advert sometimes, depending on the ad they give you. It's distracting.

I'm still learning, I really like the app a lot, it does go into detail on how to read what you are doing and breaks it down nicely. it nice because you can also revisit lessons you done. I would advise taking notes to help get it into you head a little better.:) the only thing I would want to see is instead of having 1 practice, I would like to see at least 2 to 3 more practice rounds before moving on the the next "page" of the section. I feel like 1 practice is not enough.

The app is useful to reinforce the basics. Lessons are short and concise which makes it great for passing time and exploring different languages. It loses a star based on the fact that it asks you to upgrade(not a problem), but does not list what you get with the upgrade. All in all, a fun easy distraction.

Thos is probably the best way to organize an immersive learning experience on your phone. For me, it would be better if the lesson and the "try it yourself" appeared in separate panes on the same page rather than linking to it and going back and forth, but the fact that you actually get the oppportunity ro try it rather than rolling through lessons and passing multiple choice tests aids in retention much better than most training apps in the same field.

I usually don't leave reviews, but this app has been so helpful and educational. I've learned so much in a short period of time. The lessons are simple and condensed, and make it super easy to learn small bits throughout the day, or a lot at once in a binge. It organizes the lessons in a sensible way, and where most textbooks would make the lessons overwhelming to look at, this app breaks everything into pieces and makes it easy as possible to learn. Highly recommended.

I feel like I'm learning a lot and retaining it b/c the info is presented in small, easy to understand chunks with short examples, quizzes, and a practice problem to do right after learning the info. It makes sense! It would be helpful if there were more practice problems that were optional, but available to the learner if they want to do them.

It's pretty helpful and take things at a nice place, while the online courses I looked at, while helpful, we're a flood of info and it was hard to digest. One complaint I have is every time I close and open the app again, I have to go through the process of choosing what I want to learn, how I learned before, age, etc, every time... Even though once I get past that all my details are the same and my progress remains. It gets annoying.

I definitely picked the correct answer for one of the questions but it said it was wrong. I picked the next closest answer and it said that was wrong too. The only 2 answers left were definitely wrong, but I picked one anyway and it was wrong again and drained my last heart (you only get 3 apparently), and it said I had to pay for the pro version to continue. I'd got 100% of the questions correct before that, so clearly this is just a cheap trick to stop people playing for free. Shame.

Great app, but the big downside for me is the heart system, you only have 3 hearts and if you lose them you've to wait nearly 5 hours to fill. At least make it 5 hearts, watching an ad to gain one, purchase it with the cube thingy like the one with answers. I've lost my streak too many times that it makes me very frustrated. Please fix it, it'll really help 🙏.

I enjoy the learning process.. but I am having to use multiple apps or other tutorials to learn the basics. I don't like the challenge that are on my level and then when the challenge hits they are on a much higher level of coding than the level they present. It's discouraging

This is a very useful app, But currently there is a bug. Keyboard doesnt open when needed to type. Please fix this. I'm leaving a 3 star just to notify. I'm changing this to 5 star soon. (My device is a samsung) Thanks (Edit: It was fast. Thanks for considering my request. Bug fixed.)
