Some awkward and silly aspects, especially the Chinglish notes and explanations, but positive overall. I like the focus on reading and writing characters. I wish there was some way of turning off the extremely annoying daily reminders that the app sends to my phone. If I want to study, I'll study. I don't need reminding.

I bought the app and would say for an app the price seems high. Compared to lessons it is cheap though and I feel especially for learning characters it is definitely superior (I did two HSK1 courses for 520€). One point off because I have experienced some scaling issues where I couldn't see the whole question. This only occured on my Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra. I will soon be switching to a newer phone where I believe the issue should be gone.

I went in HSK Pro section , and I could see many categories like food and clothing but when I clicked on food , the characters described words related to clothing , related to a different category. I was wondering maybe there is a mistake and the vocabulary has been misplaced, it's not a big problem the app is great though but it would be nice if it could be fixed!👍

Well, i like this app, nevertheless it concentrates on correctness of English some times its incorre一ct. The software has stroke order wrong few characters e.g. 們 OR 點 So it might be recommended to verify with other sourses. The option to submit errors , suggestions doesn't give any feed back so no need to waist time to suggest to them anything. The speaking part is quite nice, nevertheless they use voice that is some what artificial. Different that used in rest of exercises, therefore not easy to follow . Another interesting is that native chinese speaker often cannot get high score on that. So there is something wrong in scoring. Interface is very nice, structure good too. And the reminder is just perfect it helps to find the app instantaneously and keep encouraging of daily practice ....and the most important part for me is that it has traditional writing.

I like this app a lot ^.^ it has game to play and video of real person reading the words, i also can learn how to write. However, price of premium version is too high to buy...

After update it removed a lot of features that used to be free (class notes, lesson review and quizzes). I understand the need to boost income, but to make the product deliberately worse is not good. Also it does not check pronunciation of phrases on both of my Android devices. In Apple version, after you recorded the phrase it shows which words you said correctly, but not for Android. The main competitor, Hello Chinese app, works correctly on my phone, so this was the deal-breaker for me.

The new learning pattern after the update is her good! However there are a lot of bugs. I had spent close 4 hours practicing and then chose to press the backup button which erased all progress of my time spent. I also went to the section where you choose which language you learn Chinese from and clicked English, and suddenly my progress is 100%. I hope you can fix this great app for the better soon! Keep up the good work!

Off to an amazing start on my quest to learn Mandarin in my own space and time. Excellent for absolute beginners. The lessons are interactive and fun. Develop and practice listening, reading, writing and speaking skills at the same time. Each bite-sized lesson builds up vocabulary in an integrated approach. Review and scoring makes learning experience effective. Love the use of real native speakers of the language of all ages! 👍👍👍

To Whom It May Concern: I love the well ordered examples as well as the layout and design. It's very intuitive for me to use. It was well thought out. The videos are decent and give good enough explanations. The audio is well recorded and clear, and the writing section is also a fine feature. There are a few issues still on a couple of the multiple choice pages that still need to be ironed out but I love it. You can do the lessons multiple times to reinforce. You can have both character when learning then switch when you want to practice recognising Chinese characters. Also what you have learned reappears over again so you don't forget and build on what you know. I love the stories at the end of each chapter too. Really cute design. Good user interface. Would recommend.

Best app for learning Chinese. Gives you the meaning of the Chinese characters, indicates the distinction in tone, you have to follow the stroke order and you can repeat as many times as you want with or without direction of strokes. Every time you tap on a character it is voiced so you can hear the tone and pronunciation. It shows your progress, "score" and percentile after each exercise which serves as incentive to continue or improve. What more do you need?

Overall a positive experience. This app is pretty robust for a free Chinese language app. I enjoy learning how to write the Hanzi 汉子 characters a lot. I think there's a nice balance between reading, listening, and writing/using written sentences. I would like this developer to make an app dedicated to learning the Hanzi characters. Great free app!
