Unimpressed so far. The pictures are a little abstract so that you have to also remember them unnecessarily. Also, there doesn't seem to be an option to skip to a comfortable level, you must start at the very beginning.

1- Some pictures are ambiguous. 2- Odd pronunciation in that the 3rd tone would sound like 2 separate ones. 3- Need internet connection if you want to keep your streak.. else, when you have internet again, all are reverted back to the day when you last had internet, even the timer.

It's nice, I like it. It has good graphics...it's nice to use and had good and easy controls. It should add a small section for the 4 tones and their patterns though, just to get a better understanding of it. Other than that it's fine. I recommend it.

Awesome app. However I have a request. Having spent time in the places the language i am learning is spoken... What I dont see is a series of commonly used phrases. Its good to know how to say fish and fruit but being there, being able to communicate on a basic level with common phrases is more valuable than random words you may use. I would like to see a "common phrases and words"option

it feels a little fast at first but I feel i successfully learned to identify/learn at leasr one word, separate from all the others instead of half knowing a bunch of words and getting them confused. Five minutes to actually learn a word and remember it later is pretty successful!

Love the app layout, and i havent forgotten a word yet! If you dont buy the subscription, you only are allowed 5 minutes every 10 hours. I wanted much more time, so i bought the yearly option. I've learned a lot of vocab and might start some other languages too!

Very good app to build up vocabulary. I used it for few days and I've learned already several words. I think sooner or later I'll get myself the full version. It motivates to study, when I see my progress.

It's really great for beginners. It teaches you the very basics that you can learn quickly within 5 minutes and what's surprising is that within 5 minutes, you learned more than 6-8 words plus the toning of each word. It's really great.

I ended up buying the life time premium when it was on sale at New Years. I 100% am glad I did. I enjoy being able to practice for long periods of time if I like. Or having my 15 minute daily minimum available when I'm short on time. I love that I can go back to subjects if I get foggy. The best part is it almost feels like a game. This is my 'Candy Crush' if you will. Memorize, drag and drop, connect the dots, ect. Every entertaining while learning. Could use practice of words learned so far.

I remember less the sound of words and more the appearance of them. Want more time, but it is available for cheap. Beautiful interface. User friendly. Makes Chinese feel easy, if you already know how to read Pinyin.

Learning was fun and easy. I have one problem. Doing the 90-day challenge. A couple of days did not register on my list of completed days. For example yesterday. I was on day 27 and at the end of my lesson it went back to 1 as if I skipped Monday. Not only did. I not to skip Monday. I actually had two seconds on that day.

The timed practice driving you to answer faster and constant audio repetition seem to be an effective way to develop recognition of vocabulary at normal language speeds. That said, some words have questionable translations, and the monthly price is a bit steep if you're just studying one language.

Excellent vocabulary booster. Suggestion to developer: prompt the user to hold down a character to see its meaning. This existing feature is not evident to new users, but it would be helpful to Chinese learners to know about it when going through the kangxi characters at the beginning.

The app would have gotten a 5 but, there is a page where you assemble the characters and the characters are hard to move. There is also a horizontal line that never moves and you end up spending 3 of your 5 minutes trying to move it.

Good for supplemental vocab and really intuitive! Edit: took away one star for the notifications, I never get the reminder notifications and when I get any notifications at all they tell me I still have time to learn when I actually don't. It's very frustrating.

Good for a wide range of vocabulary in many different useful topic sections. Haven't been introduced to any actual phrases yet, but maybe I just haven't used it enough yet. The free version is limited to 5 free minutes a day unless you watch an ad for an extra minute.

Really great! Drops has a beautifully designed interface, and I really enjoy using it. The quick, fun way they change through different characters has been very efficient for my learning experience. I would highly recommend it!

I have to revise my rating because some of the images are impossible to interpret correctly, especially those for the times of day. Very frustrating when you know the word but misunderstand the picture. Otherwise it's still a great app.
