**Update-was the best but you can't access alot of things through each section unless you pay for the app now. No longer 5* review --------------- Best spanish learning app I've used. thorough information examples and it doesn't linger on making you go over the same information over and over unless you personally choose to go back to redo something you want to understand better! 👍😊

I have only just started because I was bored with duolingo and not finding it as helpful at this level of Spanish. I love that it's tailored to Mexican Spanish since this is what I need and it teaches phrases that are common here. It does seem set up more as a class instead of a game which keeps my brain in concentration mode instead of just clicking to get through it.

Pretty good app but some nasty flaws that distract from learning, including 1) doesn't register my voice for more than half of the verbal exercises and my phone is just fine; some of the fill in the blank exercises are literally just filling in one letter.

Saying that the free account has "some limitations" is disingenuous. The app because practically unusable after a certain point because of content restrictions—and literally unusable when they force the user to make an account to continue past lesson 6 or so! I really enjoyed the teaching style of this app and the seemingly vast amount of resources to help learn a language. It even seemed to have more focus on grammar than other apps, so it's unfortunate to see such poor UX design.

The paywall is better than other apps which is the only reason I'm giving three stars. But, as a teacher, I'm not a fan of this app. It's actually too fast paced and no matter the device it is used on, you have to almost yell for the mic to pick up what you are saying. Duolingo doesn't have that issue even if it does have a paywall. Explanations are too complicated for younger learners. It feels like a Duolingo rip off that isn't as good. Students deserve better and I'll pay for it elsewhere.

This review is only temporary as I've just started using and enjoying the app. I applaud the developers for having compiled pellucidus lessons with brief, fluid explanations, pronunciation tests, dialogues, comprehension passages....Although, I've noticed that the pronunciation tests are a bit flawed in that it takes several repetitions of the word or phrase to be pronounced before I'm informed of my accuracy but this is the only problem I've encountered in the app thus far .

I up loaded this app on the strength of the first few reviews. I have just started using it, and I'm really impressed. You have the option of purchasing lessons, but I'm sticking to the free basic one, as I think this help me for what I need. You do not get hounded to take lessons like on the '2' lingo app. Just give it a go You can't go wrong.

The beginning lessons are very good giving you lots of useful words and phrases and best of all audio texts that let you hear the language. The intermediate lessons became increasingly sloppy incomplete and in some cases wrong. My Mexican, Peruvian and Colombian friends say there are expressions here that they have never heard in their lives and more that are understandable but sound strange to them. Worst of all there are ever fewer dialogs and zero audio texts so no chance to hear Spanish.

I've used nearly all of the apps geared towards learning Spanish and in my opinion, this is one of the best. If you're not interested in the subscription, just brace yourself for the limited practice you get in certain lessons because you have to pay for premium to see the rest. Other than that, I have no complaints and intend to use this app for when I move on to French as well.

Great! During the lessons you can tap for the translation for that word/phrase instead of already showing you if you wanted to challenge yourself. It is very well structured, however it would be great to have some reviews or recaps on previous learning. I recommend!!

I'm only a few lessons in, but so far, it's my favorite app for learning spanish. It prioritizes grammar concepts in very digestible chunks and gives you some new words every lesson, too. Somehow there are no ads (as of sept 2023), which really makes the app feel polished and helps you stay focused on learning.

it's very beginner friendly and far more coherent than duolingos Spanish program. I haven't finished exploring the whole app, so this might be a feature that I've managed to miss, but I wish that it had an option to read everything out loud (including things in English) as I am dyslexic, besides that this is a great app!

I had previously uninstalled app due to being very disappointed. I just reinstalled so I can write my review. I was a Wilinga user and absolutely LOVED it, even tho I couldn't access all the features. Now, it won't allow you to get past level 3. This is NOT a free app. Don't lie and say it's free and it's not. I'm sticking with Duolingo. Much better access for free lessons with more quality. Don't waste time with Wilinga if you're looking for free lessons. Uninstalling permanently!

Best free app on the market. I like how it goes over indivual words, and how sentences are structured. Rosetta stone doesn't explain these things, and neither does Duolingo. This app also gives you everything you need without a cash-grab limitation besides the shortening of lessons. However, you still get everything you need from the app. Highly recommended to use alongside the app HelloTalk and SpanishDict.

This app is amazing! I've taken Spanish classes for three years at my school and I've learned much more with this in just a few weeks then I have in all my classes. The method they use helps you to learn quickly and remember. Not only have I learned Spanish but my English has improved too. I've already recommend this to a few people and I would encourage everyone else to get this! There are occasional audio glitches, but nothing that affects my learning. Five stars -- wonderful app! ¡Gracias!

It's an awesome app I've been learning spanish on duolingo. I would have to say it's better than duo. I'm retaining more as well as getting a understanding and not just learning a word to memorize.Over all an excellent app to use for people who already started learning Spanish as well if you haven't learned yet. I like you can set goals for yourself. it test you in the beginning if your not sure what level you are which is very helpful knowing what level you are instead of guessing I recommend

Duolingo is a good app for Spanish pero wlingua compliments it very well. I feel like Wlingua will help me learn more and at the same time learn more of the why's to the language. I'll use and complete both but if I had to pick just one it would be wlingua. Also, wlingua doesn't have the annoying hearts that stop your flow when you answer incorrectly.

This is the best app if you have a foundation in Spanish. It might be too hard if I didn't already know some Spanish. If I was starting from scratch I'd start with Memrise then this app. This app conjugates verbs and teaches you new words more rapidly than other apps. It uses many complete sentences. New format for the course heading into 2020. Great job! Well done! Makes learning more productive and memorable. A welcome enhancement for an already great teaching application. ¡Fantástico!
