The order at which they decide to introduce new words is interesting to say the least. 25, 1, 3, 5, 10 (split between 3 lessons) is an awful order to introduce numbers. Kinda feels like they're trying to artificially stretch how long their course appears to be without adding actual content. Also the speech input for the speaking tests doesn't function correctly the vast majority of the time.

I enjoyed the app and picked up on the languages really quickly. I used this app to learn Malay since its the only app to have it. I loved how they had exams at the end. I think to improve it you could have longer lessons, or perhaps have a connect option where you can meet people that are using the same language. I think that would be cool. I only wanted to try it out for now before I purchase the yearly subscription. I canceled it a day late and I'm waiting for my refund. :)

Amazing app! It is really helping me in my language learning. I love that each new word is used in a sentence, and I live the dialogues at the end of each lesson for a longer context of how the language sounds. And one brilliant part about the app is that you can learn any of the available languages through any of the others. My kid played around with Chinese though Danish, I'm learning Hindi through Malayalam to get to practice both languages at the same time. Highly recommend it.

One of the best language apps to learn ukranian i have found. 3 stars due to speaking part of the app. I had 3 different ukranian native speakers from 3 different areas of ukraine try and all of thier pronunciations failed in the app. So all but the speaking aspect is positive.

I do like the format because it's simple, but several months in, I'm not much better. I use thaipod 101 also, Head to head, thaipod is better overall, but this one is easier. The last two 'tasks' in every lesson where a male and female speaker converse in Thai, uses words that weren't in the lesson and haven't been learnt previously and is a complete wate of time. As is the dialogue box fill next page. The speaking checker is good.

GUI is a direct copy of duolingo. Content was fine in the two chapters I did. The evaluation sections usually contain the exact sentences which were taught which makes it feel a bit less helpful while learning. I'd still use it as the convenience of an app to learn anywhere is better than that of a book. And there is no other decent app for learning malayalam. Unfortunately the subscription fee is prohibitively high for me.

This app is very useful, I'm currently using it to learn Lithuanian and the app's lesson structure is very easy to follow. There are a few bugs however, for example I can't access the review page for grammar but other than that it is a fun and helpful language learning app.

I've just been using the app to learn Thai for a week now and it is a nice way to spend some minutes learning the language. However, there are some point of improvements on the speech-to-text part. For example, when trying to learn numbers it expects a number in word form (one) but the speech-to-text gives a numeral number (1). This makes it impossible to complete some tests on 3 stars.

Looks like a good app, but I wanted a phrasebook, and I had to subscribe before finding out this wasn't it. I already paid for all languages on the phrasebook apps and that didn't work either. Good software but the payment system is a scam

This app is not free and I wish that they were more upfront about that. You must pay a subscription to continue after the first lesson set of free lessons. I was going to use this app to help me learn Korean but I'm already paying for Talk to me in Korean. The Korean lessons that I was able to do were a bit fast paced for a complete beginner and the font style used by the app makes it difficult to decipher some of the Korean characters.
John Taylor
Very nice app for beginners, sadly it's not possible to try an intermediate or advanced lesson, so not possible to see how far you could progress. I would suggest the free portion to contain samples of all levels.

(Updated in response to some of the features restored) I have been using Ling to learn Cantonese and Chinese for 2 years now, I was very happy with their old app but this new one is a dissapointing downgrade. First the UI is a blinding white from the old, with no option for a darkmode. Most frustratingly is that the app has LESS features than the old(...)

I don't understand why the app does not teach numbers in order. Instead of covering numbers one to ten, it teaches twenty-five, fourteen and forty, then later one, three, five and ten. Impossible to master the numbers this way. Also, audio recording doesn't work. Basically a paid Duolingo clone with functionality issues and a counterintuitive approach. Only bother if Duolingo doesn't support the language you want to learn.

The app helped me to better read Nepali and to improve my vocabulary. I liked the different male and female voices. Sometimes there were inconsistencies in spelling, between introduced and used vocabulary. Sometimes right answers were marked as wrong. That's all ok. But my dissatisfaction comes from the fact that the app stopped working in the middle of the paid year. No update available that could solve the problem.

Overall a fairly good app, but the only reason I'm using it is because of its variety of languages which other, better apps don't have. Lots of little bugs and mistakes in the app such as having the same exact drawing/visual for "1 minute" and "1 hour" in an exercise, some of the achievements being bugged, some mistakes in the English grammar...It just seems unpolished overall. A review function is sorely needed. But by far worst part: the STREAK FUNCTION IS BROKEN/DOESNT WORK.
Thor Manray
All in all this app is pretty good. But the major problem is the almost non-existing possibility to effectively review everything you have learned. In an older version of the app, there was a button which allowed you to review ten randomly chosen words/sentences from all lessons. Now there only is a list of all words/sentences without any further function. Up until now, i haven't really understood why this invaluable learning method was deleted from the app, although it is of major importance.

Best free Thai language course I've found so far. Not just memorizing translations, it has grammar included, a section to learning how to write, and a section to analyze your pronunciations in every lesson. One thing I would change is when selecting a word to build sentences, I would have the button go grey and not disappear and shift all the other options up to fill the spot. I've accidentally clicked the wrong button and ended up with a wrong answer that I knew so many times.

I have used many apps for learning the Thai language and this one is my favorite. I love that it uses a combination of different learning styles. It teaches you sentence structure, reading, writing and listening. It might be a little difficult for a complete beginner, as I had experience with the language before. But if you're up for the challenge, I would recommend this app. To me it feels like a game and keeps me entertained as I follow my progress throughout the lessons. Great Product!
