Horrible app. Tried collecting everything needed for a tool shed project... most basic building materials don't appear on the app. If you need to leave the app for any reason, don't be surprised to find your shopping list items doubling, tripling, and beyond. I had a cart with $1,000 of project materials... went to lunch and when I opened again, my cart was over $5,000.

The app itself is fine; never had issues with the cart, saving lists, online ordering, etc. This app falls on its face with product location. If you need a specific item and you tap "find in store". It then drops a locator pin in the department...that's all you get. So if you need a specific screw, you tap "find in store" only to discover that it's in the "fasteners" section of the store, mixed in with the 12,000 in stock fasteners. Home Depot and Lowe's are significantly better in this regard.

It's an okay app to "generally check out store merchandise" but for accuracy it sucks. I really enjoy Menard's and it's a great store. I hope they would just be a little more attentive to their app. I'll put in a specific description and it'll send me dozens of things totally unrelated to the product that I'm inquiring about. I'm having to physically go to the store to check inventories and even locations only to find exceptional alternative items in addition to the ones I found.

Edit: I did have a 1 star review up for a while but Menards has fixed a lot of things with this app. The app going to a black screen and getting the prompt of app not responding is fixed. I can go back to search results without being taken to the top of the results page and having to scroll back down again now. There are other fixes that have been done as well. Reviews of products is the one thing I would like to see.

Edit: After downloading the app again and downloading the new update (10/16/19) I can confirm that it is working great again! Thanks for the speedy fix! 2 stars. This use to be an excellent app with almost all of Menards products catalogued. Now after the recent update (10/11/19) it will not even open and constantly crashes. Needs a new update before it can be used. Otherwise it would be a 5-star app.

I like the app for the most part, but when I'm specifically searching for dog food, for example, and I type in Purina Pro Plan dog food, cat food shouldn't be high in the list but it's always a mixed bag. Additionally, when I click the available at local store box I want to see what is available locally and that doesn't work well at all. I love that it shows a map of the store & where each item is.

App constantly closes. Only shows my saved lists about half the time. Multiplies my items that I add to my cart. I will put one thing in my cart and come back and it has multiplied. Sometimes only by one or two but occasionally I'll end up with 136 (or an equally ridiculous amount) of that item. And shouldn't have to add an item to that cart and start checkout in order to see a price. Now the app won't open and I can't see the current sale ad.

The app required an additional login for purchase which was not possible on my phone. The app told me, "If you experience problems logging in, please allow access to "" through any potential ad/origin blockers you may be using" which I was able to do on my desktop, but not on my phone. Also, the cart on my phone did not transfer to the cart on my desktop leaving me to look up the items all over and adding them to my cart again. Almost on par with Target's & Walmart's app.

Infinite Crash Bug. Due to the app somehow not being able to play video, you get an infinite crash bug if the last thing you do is try to watch a video and minimize the app and don't return for awhile. The app only remembers you trying to watch a video so the back button/gesture takes you back to the app launcher. Opening the app again takes you to the video that won't play. Only remedy is clearing app data. Please let me download the pdfs you link in product descriptions.

The app is very unfriendly for searching. I can type in a term like 'wire nut' & get categories like 'wire' or 'nuts' - even mixed nuts, but not get the one thing I'm actually looking for. Honestly, many times it's quicker to drive 5 miles to the store to look for the item than it is to use the app to find it. Very frustrating. Please make the search functions more user friendly.

The Menards app should give customers the option of digitally applying for, and receiving rebates. Let customer scan their forms, and submit them through the app. Save the customer information, so they don't have to enter it every time. And then digitally deliver the rebate to the app itself, at which customers would hold up their phones for the cashiers to scan. I called customer service and made the suggestion a couple of years ago...

the app was just fine before the latest change... one could quickly access all the main departments from the drop down menu that was immediately visible upon opening app. But now, one has to swipe across the screen several times to get to the "departments" icon and click...and which until recently have an error message.

What a disaster the shopping cart experience is. Don't make a mistake on quantities or product types, because it's a nightmare to change anything. You are better off removing the item from your cart, but that's not a guarantee either. It refused to let me change the shipping type, once it was selected. THEN, there is no easy way to transfer items from wish lists into the cart. You have to add items into the cart, one at a time. WOW.....

Worthless. I can't log into my account since the last update. It keeps saying wrong email or password. Reset password and it still won't let me in. Yet it works on my computer. Wife put the app on her phone and has the same login problem. No way to contact customer service from app either. And to top it off, for some reason the wish list we made for a huge remodel project ( in the app before these problems started) disappeared! Menards, you need to fix this.

App was better before update. Search does not work for me. Pulls up multiple categories and non related product. "Departments" is no longer a quick menu option. Therefore when looking through for a certain department and category, u have to constantly go back to home screen, and then hope that the graphics don't error out and overlay multiple screens at same time. Disappointed and frustrated as I used app alot to find options and pricing while diy remodeling my home.

App is very convent. However the most important aspect of any product is the support. these guys were top notch. running to an issue that was in discernible between either my phone or their product. Regardless as we worked it out back and forth and finally were able to get the matter resolved. Great app. Highly recommended

I also have been experiencing the quantity of items in my cart impractical numbers. I wad reading of several other people having the same issue. Mine has been doing that for as very long time and I've just gotten used to it but it's not right. Call me crazy, but I swear at one we could scan store receipts into the app to keep record of what we purchased. I cannot find a way to do that anymore unfortunately... I'd love to see that feature.

I DO NOT like like the newest updates. I always use the Menards app before going to the store to make sure items are in stock. Opened it today and everything has changed. The side menu no longer has listing for departments. I liked it when I could go straight to the department needed and choose what was needed in that area. Now have to search the app home page to find department and not all departments are there. I had to search individual items. Big hassle!
