Description of 29k: Mental Health & Wellbeing

29k is a free non-profit app for mental health, wellbeing and inner development.

In the app you’ll find unlimited access to evidence-based psychological tools to cope with life in both ups and downs, feel good and thrive. You also have a supportive community at your fingertips. There are no in-app purchases and no advertising. We always put privacy and safety first so you can focus on your mental health and inner development.

We are a non-profit organisation on a mission to make all the amazing research and tools on mental health, behavioral change, wellbeing, and inner development accessible for all.

The app is available for quick relief, during hardships, when you go through life changes and for personal growth.

Choose between bite-size exercises, meditations, challenges, tests or check-ins for:
- stress or anxiety.
- relationship struggles.
- overwhelming feelings.
- not being able to concentrate.
- negative self-talk.
- troubles with sleep.

Choose longer courses for more profound learnings and inner development, such as:

The courses, exercises, meditations, and various tests are designed to strengthen your mental health and support your inner development and personal growth, for when life throws you curve balls or wonderful surprises. It is a space for you to work on your relationship with yourself, others and the world.

Join a community group for support through your own journey. Invite friends or colleagues and grow together, or work on your own. Get inspired by others’ reflections in videos and chat messages, and share your own story and reflections.

Because we are a non-profit tech-startup foundation, we partner and co-create with leading universities, researchers, and psychologists across the globe – from Harvard University and University of London to Karolinska Institute, and many more.

This may potentially be one of the most important Apps ever developed. Its a little bit early for me to confirm just now, as I have just started participating in the Group Video Discussions and Healing Sessions, which is the Genius of the App. The Best Advice I can give, is just brave the elements, join the program, Be Explorative and Try to Open Yourself Up Enough for the App/Programs/Group Video Discussions to work and within reason you should get some form of Positive Outcome. the conteny is fantastic. i have a meeting tomorrow so i spent tonight doing the assignment and it was fantastic. the videos from the counsellor really help direct the self letters. and ill update when the group meeting is over. i definately reccomend trying this app out. thanks!!

My first impression of 29k: Mental Health & Well-Being In Ways That Benfit Capitalism and Hustle Culture. Long quizzes to tell me things I already know & recommend I work on those issues, what a waste if time. The meditations leave much to be desired. Content is limited & basic & seems like a manual handed out to employees to avoid burnout.

Its ok. Im naturally very self aware and psychology minded though.. so for me its like a chef watching a video about boiling eggs. It would be obvious and boring but if your not self aware and you would like to know yourself better then this would be great for you. Its almost like an extension on journal prompt questions with short videos attached to them

This is probably a very good starting point for folks just stepping into their mental health journey. For me, it feels condescending and pithy. It feels like a Microsoft training slide telling you to just think happy thoughts and your depression will go away.
