Description of Health Connect (Beta)

Health Connect by Android gives you a simple way to share data between your health, fitness, and wellbeing apps without compromising on privacy.

Health Connect is in Beta. We are excited to share the product with you and are working hard to continue adding partner apps and new improvements.

Once you've downloaded Health Connect, you can access it through your settings by going to Settings > Apps > Health Connect, or from your Quick Settings menu.

Get more from your favorite apps. Whether you're focused on activity or sleep, nutrition or vitals, sharing data between your apps can help you better understand your health. Health Connect gives you simple controls, so you only share the data you want to.

Keep your health and fitness data in one place. Health Connect stores the health and fitness data from your apps in one place, offline and on your device, so you can easily manage the data from your different apps.

Update privacy settings in a few taps. Before a new app can access your data, you can review and choose what you want to share. If you change your mind, or want to see which apps recently accessed your data, find it all in Health Connect.

Was working ok (not great, but did the job) until Android 14 update. Lost my Samsung Watch (so no more Wear OS) connection, which makes all my Google Fit connections obsolete. Not that any of my apps can connect...

Another very poor attempt by Google of wanting to be Apple the app is still in beta it's not even very good there's constant missing date and it just doesn't match up to the iPhone in any way the data presentation is very poor missing data constantly happens certain apps aren't allowed to integrate with your health so they block it so you can't actually upload that data it's just a terrible user experience compared to the iPhone

Doesn't work at all with Pixel 8 pro dozens of other on Reddit with same issue. Will not connect to any app and Pixel watch 2 doesn't connect data to phone or Google fit at all

Doesn't work with others apps and devices. In my case only work with Google fit. Doesn't work with Samsung health , Huawei health, Omptron, etc.

Samsung Health (as well as Sleep as Android) say they are not supported. I'm running the latest version of both. When is this going to be fixed?

It does not collect all the data from connected sources. It Isn't accurate. It is in no way even close to what the iphone can do, which is sad and terrible because I hate to admit when they are better. Sad, truth, they kick the hell out of google in this regard.

As pointed out by someone earlier also, Google fit cannot get appropriate details from my Samsung watch; and even so.e previous data get removed from Google Fit App. This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed on urgent basis

Fit is now reporting to SS Health but very limited data! Please fix! Google Fit reported 390 calories burned for an exercise bike. This is correct and the data the bike reported to Google Fit. Health connect sent the data from FIT to Samsung Health that I had burned 185,000 calories. I can barely type this review and I am on my way to the hospital. 😂 Obviously, Health Connect has a ways to go. Looking forward to an update that corrects issues such as these. Beta since November 2022?

"...without compromising on privacy" yet I never installed this, and its hidden from the app menu, only knew it existed because I turned off auto-update. My one health app stores its own data, why would you create a second data store and not inform the user?

I wish it worked, but it doesn't. Only pulls step data from Samsung to Withings on the first open or background sync of the Withings app per day. So if you open the Withings app first thing it'll say you've done 45 steps and stay that way without updating for the rest of the day. Many many similar bugs with other apps like randomly not updating a certain category. If it worked as advertised it would be the prefect solution.

2 stars. The third is it's potential to be a powerful 5 star app. It doesn't import respiratory, body temp, ECA or ECG from my Fitbit (Charge 5). Fix the Fit Bit data importing (or just replace the fit bit app) and add integration for importing "My Chart" data (at least blood test and vitals), produce a common APIs for Bluetooth communication with a BP cuff, portable EKGs and modern sleep apnea devices. Y'all should have enough industry pull to have people accept an open API as a "gift" 😉

The idea is good and it used to work really nicely until the last update when Samsung Health stopped importing Fitbit data even though they both seem to be writing and reading from health connect. Please fix this asap. Thank you!

Everything seems to work with Samsung Health, except that blood pressure data is only shared when manually entered in Samsung Health. I.e. BP data measured on Samsung Watch 4 is being successfully received to Samsung Health on Motorola G52 via Dante63's apk, but is not being propagated from Samsung Health to Google Fit. However if I manually type a BP reading into Samsung Health, it *does* get propagated to Google Fit. I've checked and rechecked all permissions.

It was working with my Samsung Health while using Samsung Galaxy S20 before. Now, I have switched to Pixel 8 Pro and this app only sync data to Fitbit, no Samsung Health option. My Galaxy Watch data does not sync to Google Fit anymore. I do not like the Pixel Watch2 proprietary charger when I have several qi watch chargers already. I do not need more Pixel Watch2 chargers which most likely will not work in the future Pixel Watches again.

After the latest update, now it has no access to anything outside of Fitbit. Shocking since that's what Google owns now. They're trying to force you to go to Fitbit. It's pointless to have this running

Steps not syncing but the functionality seems awesome. I am not able to get Samsung Health steps to populate over to Fitbit though, even tho the app reports "reading" Samsung (activity) frequently and "writing" to Fitbit (activity) as well.

I have Health Connected "connected" to Samsung Health, Waterminder, and MyFitnessPal, but none of these apps write hydration data to each other, steps, or nutritional info. Even though allow all is enabled for all of them. Very disappointing so far.
