It is not user friendly in the most minimum. Won't calibrate on my Samsung Galaxy. Even with my compass and GPS enabled and everything. Sometimes the horizon line as well as the orientation is completely off that it displays North where South should be. It won't "connect" with a constellation clearly visible in your camera screen (my camera definition is great), which in my opinion should a default calibration method. I guess it simply isn't made for Samsung.

Decent app though the menu system is janky, e.g. you have to tap through 6 or 7 times every time you want to add a favorite, since there is no way to add favorites directly in search. Also, would love to have an option to only display favorites in AR mode. Other similar apps show toggle buttons to turn on and off various features from the main screen if you tap the screen, but you have to dig into menus with this one. Feature-wise it has some of the best though.

who the heck came up with the figure 8 idea to readjust the accuracy. im disappointed the creators for not makeing an option to be able to grab the screen and drag it over to where its supposed to be using the moon or sun or a star as reference to drag the screen over. its such a simple solution. I can't believe they haven't thought of it.

This app is just the best. I finally moved out to a rural house where the night sky is unadulterated by light and this app allows me to recognize everything I'm seeing. What an education...I truly love it. If you want to find something just 'search' for it with the search function and it will guide you to find it easily... You will not be sorry about getting this app...

I've always been fascinated by our universe and recently got into viewing the night sky with a telescope. This app acts as a handy sidekick whenever I'm discovering or want to identify something. I've been using the free version for a month and decided to upgrade for all the features. Well worth every penny and happy to support the developers! In my opinion, this is a very helpful and user friendly app for amateur and expert astronomers alike. Cheers to further development and future updates.

Amazing app. Truly beautiful I used to go out of town with my late partner just to see a better view of the night sky. On a whim I ended up downloading the free version of this app, and within ten minutes of using it had bought the paid version. It's truly wonderful. I kept it on my phone and reinstalled after an upgrade, but didn't use it for several years following his death. Now I use it by myself and think about how we used to take turns finding things to show each other.

I really like this program because it's very helpful with identifying the things in the sky planets and helping to mitigates problematic discussions for people who want to argue about the beauty of the night sky. The one drawback is once you update the thing it keeps asking you to update I wish they would fix that and make it to where once you upgrade it stays upgraded and continue does not continue to keep asking

This app is very intuitive and useful. I've used it for years now and it has increased my appreciation for our night (and day) sky. I particularly like monitoring astronomical events and sightings. 100% recommended.

EDIT: Over a year on and I am loving the paid version. I have found so many new wonders and set myself goals to see something new each time I use the map. What a Stella (pardon thebpun!) app! I can only say "I LOVE THIS" As a novice sky watcher this is entertaining, informative and educational. Paid for the upgrade and not sorry. Even with the free version the ads were not intrusive at all. Took me a moment to figure out how to make the upgrade work on my phone but works a treat now. THANK YOU!

I've used this app for a long time and liked it but sadly, I came across another. At first it was innocent, a quick scan through the settings, checking out the features but then it just got out of hand, next thing I know I'm using it instead of this to gaze into the cosmos I started utilizing the upgraded features and I was enjoying it. I'm sorry it turned out this way but things happen sometimes, we had fun, good memories so lets leave them to the fate of the galaxy and hold on to the memorie

This is probably the best stargazing app on Android. Three suggestions to make it 5 stars: 1. Add comets to the types of celestial bodies. Comet Neowise is out now and I assumed the upgrade to the full version would find it, but it did not. 2. The Android on-screen buttons (home, back, and switch apps) disappear and are difficult to get to from the main screen. 3. Add more info for each object i.e. brightness, time, etc. If the developer fixes these three minor issues, it gets 5 stars from me!

All you need is phone compass calibration and select your actual location properly or by clicking the auto detection multiple times and enjoy, it's real impressive app for what information it gives and ambient music is very nice.

Definitely a family favorite. Finding just about any celestial body you can think of, and a lot you didn't know about has been a real educational experience and fun. God's creation is an amazing place to explore, even from the front porch here on Earth. Thank you for developing this gem of an app!

Used to work. Now all the satellites it shows are below the horizon. Nothing but the stars show above horizon. And the pointing accuracy is way off. After calibration it stays the same. Save your money.

Years ago I bought the full version and was happy with it. I didn't use it for a while until I saw something going on with some planets being near the moon around this time. So I used my app only to discover it the calibration was NO WHERE close to the actual moon or planets. I tried the figure 8. Didn't work. When I tried to use the navigation to find the "moon", the "moon" location kept changing. I can't even use this app anymore due to it not being correct. Uninstalling.

Even after it has reached it's full accuracy it is still slightly off. Which when searching for distant objects make it useless. There is no instuctions. My free Sky Map is easier to use and is just as good if not better. I would not recommend paying for this app. The Help section is useless and has the GPS in the phone as too small. That's rubbish. Solar interference can affect GPS Accuracy, just watch Spaceweatherwoman on YouTube to see why.
Pete Johnstone
App is okay but it's way out. Right now from my position in New Zealand, Venus is 2 degs above the moon but your app is putting Venus just behind the moon at the topside. Also it puts Mars out of place as well. So it is very inaccurate and needs a lot more work. Thought it was looking good but is useless when planets are so far out of position.
Andrew Hassfurther
I love this App. But you left one thing out in the picture taking processes. When the tracking circle identifys any object a small description is given in the lower left corner of my phone screen. But after I take a picture, that info is not part of the picture. That would be great when sharing pics on FB so others know what they are looking at. Now with all of the smart people that designed this app. You left off that tiny feature. Thank you
