It's OK, but the venu2+ was having trouble staying connected for a while there on Andr12. Every time I'd set the dashboard up and have to "reconnect my device" it'd get reset, so I gave up trying. I do like the UI for the data display, but I'd also like to see a place to take notes to track perceived symptoms. Like for sleep, I want to give myself a sleep score on how I feel that day, so I can accumulate that data and take it to my dr if there's a trend. Why do I need to do that somewhere else?

Great, except for 1 major issue. You can't compare time and distance at the same time. All the stats except for the basic "by 17:20 you had run 1.5 miles". It will show you a replay of the run but no time and distance associated with it. Since I do a lot of interval training, I want to compare segments of the run, not just by the mi or km. You'd also think the app would be able to figure out your mile speed from a run if switching from km since the entire run is tracked. Not the case.

Generally very good, but completely missing any ability to define custom exercises. It shouldn't be hard to define an exercise name and select the muscles it targets, then save that for use in strength workouts. Also honestly quite bad at counting reps (Epix 2). Edit 6/16/23: another bug has appeared, where the Strength training workouts can't handle 3 "rounds" in a single workout. The third "round" just disappears on the watch, becoming a single instance of the exercises within it instead.

I wish it was easier to enter some manual data. For example, when I bike indoor, I have to manually enter the elevation gain. Many of my rides have gains of several hundred to a thousand feet. This app has a dial that starts at 0 and you have to manually scroll through all the numbers. It would be so much easier if you could just type in the number or if you could just scroll for the digit in the thousands spot, hundreds spot, tens spot and ones spot.

It's decent but it's frustrating if you're in the beginning of your fitness journey. The coach function will only adjust to your ability if you run outside. Know who doesn't want to run outside, out of shape people. Which means it sets unachievable goals early on. It knows my VO2 max, my weight, height, distance, time, HR and I can edit the session to make sure it's accurate but will only adjust if I'm running outside, why? Also, what's with the limited list of strength exercises? Halos exist.

Great support to my Venu 2 so far. Not entirely intuitive, but once figured out very handy. Tries to lead you to Connect IQ (to download watch faces) which is confusing and seems redundant. Otherwise, pleasantly surprising with the variety of training, exercise, and aesthetic options and support. Leagues ahead of Fitbit, that's for sure.

So I'm a former Fitbit user and while I like the app, it does lack a few "user interface" things that I prefer on fitbit. Overall, it's much better and more accurate. So, fitbits user interface is extremely streamlined with the various different features it has, but it really lacks details because the Fitbit itself is a simple device. The Garmin app has a lot going on. Now that I've had it a week I think I prefer it, but I was pretty worried I wanted to go back to Fitbit when I started.

I think the app just "works", and the breakdown of training level and other tidbits is helpful. But it's such a chore having to manually input exercises (I really should be able to input Barbell Squat and find it, Garmin), and the UI has so many confusing menu options that it's hard to know where to look for an option. Basically, the app is stuck in the early 2010s and needs a a modern refresh.

Very user-friendly, intuitive, and competitively built app. My favorite features are being able to view data from calories burned to hours of rem sleep, saved workouts, stress levels and daily average stress, graphs related to this data, and more. All data can be viewed from the day, week, and extended perspective. As a side note, unparalleled customer service. I have only had this watch for six months, and still have many, many more features of it to explore.

It's good. It takes a while to sync. I'm also pretty surprised it doesn't have a food/ calorie tracking feature. You have to sync it to My Fitness Pal. The app also doesn't offer any widgets for the phone. I liked having a quick add widget for weight, water, food, etc, through Fitbit. I also can't weigh in from the Garmin smart watch. I like that you can change the watch face through the app, however that too, takes a while to sync. Edit: couldn't get over CONS, gave watch to husband.

I've been using this for 2+ years. I like many of the features. But some things need to change. I do many rollerskate and inline skating sports. But there's no option to track it. Also adding a new device can sometimes be tricky when you already have a device. Overall I like garmin more than some of their competitors. Especially since they don't charge extra for features that were once free or even new ones

Really hate the latest update. The loss of the 3 circles providing you with the summary of the activity is simply mind blowing. Too much space given to the map and to provide feedback on how you felt and self evaluation etc. Why does this need to be on the first page when I would imagine this is used by such a small % of users. Please bring back the old version even its under a 'Classic' view.

The latest update completely broke the connection of my watch to my phone, the only way I could get them to connect was adding it as a new device. Also, it keeps showing someone else's profile as my own. All of my history is gone, and when I look at what it shows in the calendar, it's giving me the info from some user in France, I'm in the US...

My only real complaint with this app is that despite all the notifications it can send there seems to be no way to get a low battery notification. Of course this is only an issue because I use it more like a band and prefer the screen to stay off and the battery lasts long enough I routinely forget about it. Other than that I love the app as much as I love the product and that's a pretty rare thing.

I really liked Garmin Connect because it had once set itself apart from other apps like Fitbit and the Apple watch. Averages mean nothing to me. I need the line graph back. W/out the min. by min. waveform on the 02; it's hard to determine the accuracy. The line graph for body battery was a way to determine, in real time, how much energy I had to spend & to know if I needed to take a break sooner. That's gone. Was nice to see sleep w/ the ability to layer HR,RR,02 but that's gone too. Please fix!

Fantastic App, especially for running and biking. I didn't even have to program the activity and it understood what I was doing. I wish it synced more with weight lifting capabilities too. I couldn't figure out how to input reps or weights size or anything like that. I'll keep playing with it, still new!

Not sure if it's the fault of my replacement watch or if it's the app but right after updating the app on 8/24, I went for a hike. It said I had 20K steps roughly after finishing the hike. When I got home all of a sudden I had almost 27k. How did I get 7K steps while driving? I mean sometimes you'll get an extra hundred but 7K. Then I had about 29k and it kept taking away steps that I was adding. On its own. Very strange. Oh and not a fan of the new interface, especially when it comes to editing

Please fix the glitches since the mid-August update. Strength Training totals (7d, 4w, 1y) no longer appear. Also, like others, I miss the hamburger menu in upper left of the main display. Other than a few undesirable updates, this app has been awesome for over 3 years now. Still recommend, but I hope the above issues are fixed. Thanks!
