Very helpful. My retention of what is taught is much better than studying on my own with books or flashcards. I really like that the lessons are short, so you can always fit one or two into a busy day. I also like that there's one American English speaker who is fluent in Japanese, and a Japanese native that is fluent in English. I like that the native speakers, speak with a slight accent. It's more realistic, as to what you might hear if visiting or speaking to a Japanese native.

Out of all the language learning apps, this one has been the most useful in teaching me Japanese. It's fairly simple to commit to and it's definitely worth the money. It has lots of quality short auditory lessons for on the go or even just on the couch at home. The content is seemingly less intensive on specific details, but you still learn them naturally as you go through the content in a way less tedious manner that usually bores people away.

The app started glitching on me. It would take long to start up and sometimes would freeze up my entire phone. Then my word bank wouldn't sync with my account even though I had WiFi. This only started happening after I had the app for a while. Other than that it has been very convenient to take my language lessons on the go and still have all the resources the full website has.

I have used several language learning apps; all mostly for greek. I completely finished the Duolingo course (which is shorter than most other courses on Duolingo.) Upon finishing that I knew about 2000 words but felt that I couldn't understand a conversation at all. I recently started using this app and it is much better for conversational language and much more in depth all around. It teaches the rules of the language so that you can understand much deeper. I highly recommend this app.

I've been using this for around a year now and decided it's time for a review. I'm studying Japanese and this has been a huge help for me. I like the structured courses which give me a clear path of what to study and how to progress. The supplemental materials for every lesson help me make my study deeper and increases what I learn and retain. I especially like the quizzes, assignments, and tests which really help me assess how I'm doing with the material. The app works really well too!

I love learning Cantonese with this! Especially during quarantine when no Chinese schools are open, this is a phenomenal app to use. I upgraded to premium, which I recommend for a better learning experience. If you do choose to learn a language with this app, I highly recommend taking notes and writing things down. That way, you can always look back on what was taught.

This the best language learning program I have used. The lessons are in depth without being overwhelming. The pronunciation exercises are incredibly effective! I'm also using the Tandem app to practice my Portuguese with native speakers, and I receive so many compliments on both my written and spoken language skills! I've only been using the Innovative Language app for about a month or so, and I'm loving it!

So far, not liking the teaching technique that is used. Just the easiest entry level is overwhelmed with trivial conversion between the instructors that does a beginner no justice when learning. My second observation is they make it impossible to change languages after paying for subscription, and finally canceling the subscription is almost impossible. So be careful when subscribing to this site.

Very simple to use but there seems to be features like the Flashcards in my experience that aren't present in the App when they are available on the website. Edit: For a few months now in 2021 there have been updates that allow for multiple choice assignments and hand written quizzes to be worked on in the app, things have gotten better.

When i toggle between languages when reading the line by line dialog, it always jumps back to the top. This is frustrating when there are three (3) tabs to toggle (in Korean), and I lose my place anytime I am studying one of them and want to just briefly check that line in the other translation. Maintaining the scrolling position would make it so much easier.

The app is not as good as the website. I still find myself going to the website over using the app. The biggest drawback is that the app goes to sleep if I leave the podcast running without interruption. This is bad for me because the only time I have to listen to these podcasts is my commute to work. Since making sure my app stays awake while driving is dangerous, I have to download the podcasts from the website to listen to it in the car. If that hiccup gets fixed, I'll rate the app 5 stars.

I am using ThaiPod101 and I am glad that I chose Innovative over the other options. The lessons are very well structured and the available content with each lesson (pdf transcripts, etc.) is great. I have the top tier package and had used the online/PC version for a couple of months before even downloading the app, which I only did due to a business trip with lots of free time. I'm very glad that i got the app as well. You will not regret downloading or purchasing this product.

I highly recommend this app. I tried the Cantonese classes and they were fantastic. I had to get off due to financial issues and Innovative worked with me and even helped me get a refund for unused classes and they were so quick to respond. I plan to get back on board ASAP. Thank you for everything! PS. The quality of the classes were the best. The instructors were clear and the lessons were available on video, text and they even have notes! Love it.

Nice to have app for learning Japanese. Buy I have to take away two stars because the app still has a decent amount of bugs. Many times the playback buttons don't respond. Also, many times if I pause the audio, the playback will stop and restart from the beginning if I pause for too long.

I am so happy with this app! It gives you direction with a learning path and also gives you flexibility to add other learning paths on things of interest, such as culture, business, grammar, exams, etc. It is bite size pieces that you can retain, while also explaining the sound/grammar. I felt confused with other programs and this makes me feel like I am going to know Japanese when we ultimately move there for work. I also really enjoy it and look forward to doing it.

Best Spanish language learning app I've tried. Much more like the experience of language school, with a conventional format, lots of explanation of grammar and different phrasings in different locations, lots cultural info, etc. Very engaging. Mostly listening based, so easy to use while doing chores or driving, etc. Two thumbs up!

compared to the website, this structure is lacking in innovation within its structure. the user interface is a bit drab and does not lend to easy review as the site does. may be better if they incorporated flashcard tech, sleeker design upgrade or something that makes it as easily accessible as well as aesthetically pleasing as the website. just wish it was more tailored to your account and lessons. it's got the information though so that is a plus. just how it is presented needs work.

I was so excited when I downloaded this app bc I was originally using duolingo. & with duolingo, it doesn't go in depth like this one does so I was really looking forward to being able to understand on a deeper level .... until I realized you have to pay monthly for this. first, it's not advertised with a damn price. they make it seem like its free. not saying this isn't worthy of a price, bc I think it is for what you're getting, however, PLEASE ADVERTISE as such. it's very misleading.
