This modern language learning app uses flashcards to view foreign words, phrases or sentences to the learner. Possibly the most annoying app I have ever bought. I am a B2 level Spanish speaker and I bought the app as an alternative to paper flashcards. I input 40 verbs to learn, but after four or five, the app takes me to a different screen. Pop ups leap out continuously, completely unrelated to what I want to do. If I pay £35 for an app I should be able to use it as I want, not as the app wants. It is very frustrating, I wanted simple, I got annoying. Sorry, not good enough.

I liked this app! I’ve been using the pro version for a few months and noticed one thing I really want to fix. I add new words, but I won’t see them until I’ve learned all the previous ones perfectly. I mean, the words I’m adding to the app today, I’ll see at best in a few weeks. I would like to have an option when all words are shuffling and not go strictly in the order of the addition. thank you very much for your work!

Great flashcard app! I use it every day at work when I'm not busy. It's great, and it works quite well. I think it uses a great technique for learning. Many of my words I get every time will only show up after a few days or weeks, and it definitely will help to create long-term memory of these words! Highly recommended! There are videos and stories to see and read, and you can pick words or phrases from the scripts and save them as cards! So many resources, will likely be getting Plus soon!

I enjoy the app, I think it's a great way to build foundational vocabulary to help on a language learning journey, my biggest issue is the case sensitive in answering cards. Like if you put "I am" but the card answer has "I'm" you get it wrong. It's a small thing but it can be improved.

A wonderful app for learning vocabulary. The pictures with the words are great and the share from other apps or websites function is fantastic. The only problem is, to use the app you need a very strong internet connection. This can be difficult while traveling in different countries. An option to use the app offline would be great.

In theory this approach would be an excellent addition to Duolingo to assist the learning experience. However, due to the continuous interruption and push to buy the premium package I uninstalled the app before I had even managed to get familiar with how it works. Every time I tried to follow some 'how to', up came the sales package as it did at every other opportunity it could, completely preventing any cohesive learning. Disappointing!

This is an excellent application, but it seems to me that repeating after 4 months is not enough to get into the section "learned forever". How about after 4 months do 6/8 months and then 12? I have learned more than 1600 words in a year and it seems to me that I have already forgotten more than half of them. I know that there is a function for manually selecting learned words, but it is inconvenient.

Decent content quality, but too much time is spent interacting with app setup and "game features". Flash cards are not well-suited to immersive apps, imo, which they are trying to make this thing. I don't want to pick cards, I don't want to personalise it myself. I want the app to throw some text in front of me, use AI to assess my needs, and show cards. Nowhere near convenient or quick enough to be truly useful. Big pass on this one, maybe my memory is just better than most.

it's a really good app for learning vocabulary. And the process for adding words is great. However, it has been really really slow lately. Right now kind of unusable because of the audio delay. It seems to get the audio for the words from the internet. Doesn't matter how fast your internet is, seems to be an issue with their servers. All I know is it's too damn slow.

Great app, very useful for learning vocabulary. It has texts you can read, audio and translation for them, and if you come across a new word you can add it to your card deck. And about the flashcards: I'm glad it doesn't have the annoying features of duolingo (hearts you lose for yor mistakes, too mouch time spent typing the translation). You save time and learn lots of new words fast. If you read them out loud it is even better. The only downside is the ads for the premium version that appear.

The ability to create your own cards with the help of a translator is really a killer feature. I just always make sure to double check with a native speaker. Edit: the fact that the app has 0 offline capabilities, even for the cards that you created, is a deal breaker.

Like duolingo but you have way more autonomy over your learning. You can start at whatever level you like, and read articles related to your level of proficiency, watch videos with translations, sing along, and obviously flash cards. It's really great! Lots of ads tho, but expected seeing as it's the free version.

Really quite an annoying app for learning. If you select a level there seems to be no way to go back and it's the same for once you select a phrase to 'save', if you didn't mean to select it, you can't go back. It seems like they're trying the forcing someone to do something tack that some games use as a training level but it just doesn't seem to have been implemented will in this instance. I might try this one more time but I think it's going to be uninstalled.

This ap is what I was looking for, for a long time! I love the way we can add videos from YouTube and it shows the transcript and goes through it and we can select a word there and add it to the vocabulary. Just, can you please make it somehow that when it is playing a video, and the phone gets locked, it continues to play. At the moment, I have to keep the phone unlocked.

It's so horrible to give this app a try due to the frequency of ads being shown. The app is almost unusable when you just want to trial the free version. This is because every single adjustment of a word selection counts as an "action," with about 10 actions triggering an ad, even if you don't add the selection to your card deck. An ad was shown to me at least once every 10 seconds or so because of this.
