I'm still upset with the full page ads, but something the app introduced recently made me increase my rating: the ability to set separate serving sizes, for weight, volume, and other. I frequently had to change the serving size listed in the app into the measurement format I was using, and now it will be able to handle it all! Will also be helpful for "as prepared" servings as well.

Your app is driving me mad! I know it's free, but it's freezing EVERY single time I scan something. It's so bad I have to keep info open to force close and open every single time I scan. It even freezes up my phone briefly. I'm probably gonna switch to another app very soon. Samsung Galaxy S9, Snapdragon 845. This is still a pretty powerful processor.
Preyator “Preyator”
Been using this application for 2 years as a paid subscriber and it seems like the quality keeps degrading. The application is not as quick and snappy as it used to be. For example when tracking water consumption you need to wait about 1 second between clicking each 8oz glass of water icon, before there was no delay. This has been so frustrating I stopped tracking it. Another example when inputting my daily walked miles, they round to where ever the hell they want to. Doubt I'll renew again.

As promised, I was going to change my rating if this app changed my view of it... And sure enough it did! I'm so glad I came across this app! It's much cheaper to subscribe than with MFP, which has ground to a halt for me. Boo! This app pretty much does it all, track cals, fasts, macros, and pretty much any health item you can imagine. I don't really see myself gonna back to MFP at this point ☝️

I love it, I used Noom to lose 50+ pounds but cost a lot more. I've gained back some, so back to tracking food and walking. Lose It! links to Google fit for steps and the database is AMAZING! I've tried many, it beats them all free or paid. I'm an expert as I build databases and have tried many. It's easy to use and I have yet to scan a food that isn't there. It also has local specialties in remarkable menu detail. All that free or $20 1st year for more. Thank you Lose It!

In the past few months the app has slowed considerably when searching for foods or scanning barcodes. It used to be instant and now can barely do it. Intrusive full page ads are also ridiculous. Other than that the basic version has enough features to do what you need.

the basic version is enough and helpful as far as just the basics. you can take pictures of your food to faster calculate instead of going through the tedious effort of tying and searching all of the calories you had plus fat etc!! I'm glad you don't have to pay for simple features like those!! it connects to Google fit. I also like that it asks you detailed questions about your weight loss so you can loose weight effectively!! it's a great app and contemplating paying for the upgrade!!

Very easy to use and helps keep me on track. I like being able to see the progress and help spot trends in my habits. I like that it isn't in my face every day with notifications (unless I want to switch them on) and isn't like an over the top annoying cheerleader like another app I had tried. This app is perfect for me, my needs, and preferences.

So far so good! I used MFP for over a year, but I didn't love it and it was sooo expensive!! It wasn't very easy to add/edit my own recipes and it never seemed to remember my frequently logged foods. I tried several new apps recently but none of them were ideal. Lose It is now my favorite! Easy to add recipes and replace ingredients. Logging is super easy with barcodes, the UI is pleasant. Great tips. Only missing vitamin as macros. Very happy to be taking charge of my diet again. Thanks!

Lose It is easy to use. I signed up for the year subscription which is reasonable (~$40/yr 2023). Took me a minute to find my way through the features. I can copy meals from one day to the next etc, scan anything. Its really flexible. I'm loving it. If you have other smart fitness devices you can sync them. Has a current tracker at top of page & a Dashboard page and more. Add a new weight when you want etc. Very happy, would recommend.

Missing a lot. Gives options to log exercises that you have never even heard of, or wouldn't use like hang gliding and darts... but not basic stuff like bridges, wall sits, etc. Drastically changes the experience. I have to Google calorie counters, estimate it, and log it as stretching. A lot of the nutrition is wrong and you have to double check labels before you log every item in your meal. Too many people log things spelled/entered incorrectly as well, so you have to dig for the right thing

Used this app a year ago, and loved the updates. However, going back to it now, it's become LESS useful. Barcode scanning is now rarely accurate--takes forever, and common items and brands scan as something else entirely. Also, measurements are not always appropriate...I don't measure salami in cups, for example. There are a lot of useful metrics, and I'll use it until I find something better.

Best app I have tried for tracking so far. Could use some expansion in devices and apps it connects to, and refreshes could be quicker and easier, but the app is intuitive and simple to use. They are planning to remove their badges, which unfortunate as it is a popular feature for beginners to get them moving.

It started out working fine, but it keeps getting worse. Definitely is not accurate for keto or any macro nutrient. I added a chocolate bar and it subtracted net carbs? It's worse than kids at math. It also has incorrect nutrient lists for a lot of basic foods. I paid for the app but it is hurting more than helping. Navigating is ok but not very customizable.

I'm a former "Noom" user. I wanted a new (FREE) app to track my weight. Lose-It has a premium option, but I just use it to weigh myself & watch the little line graph. I set a weight loss goal, & it sets the anticipated achievement date, adjusting with my entries. I could do other things on the free version (calorie count & step count), but choose not to use these. A very VERY solid free app for weight tracking!!!l

It works. Actually good results if followed rigorously. One suggestion. While entering records, the weight Entries previously entered are listed too. That is useful. Even more useful would be to also include the difference between each entries in lbs. This helps one visually see the ups and downs. It enables one to see how far they may have veered off and course correct.

This is not an ad-supported or free version, but only a free trial. Users should be told up-front, before bothering to download, before the app does its data gathering, that the 'free' version is only a 7 day trial, after which it will automatically charge $39 a year. No scummier than most apps, but that's a low bar. If you're into being manipulated, the graphics look good, and a lot of thought went into the process of making the user feel comfy about it.

WARNING: Pop-Up ads will take over your phone! Ad music plays the entire time I am using the app, even if an ad does not pop up. Lately it's been the music for the awful Star Trek ad, but it changes. The music will continue to play until I close the app. If I exit the app but don't close it, the music plays over everything else on my phone. It happens every time I use the app, making it annoying and useless.
