TONS of features. This really is the best workout tracker I've ever used. I believe there was a premium buy in for the full product, but it's worth it. I'm getting greedy only giving 4 stars. I'll give it an easy 5 stars if you can pause workouts. You can finish a workout, or leave the workout running in the background, but you can't pause the workout or choose a recently finished workout and continue. Sometimes, life gets in the way of a routine and I have to finish it a couple hours later.

As a workout tracker it is great. It is really nice not having to remember what resistance I have been doing for every exercise and eliminates the need to carry around a notebook. The share feature is excellent and makes it easy to keep up with friends that can't go to the same gym. Being able to build your own routines and the large variety of exercises to choose from keeps the gym fun. There are a few things that are missing or could use improvement, but as a free workout app definitely a 5!

Easy to navigate little app. Haven't run into any issues so far. only logged two hours into it but I like it a lot. A lot of exercises to pick from and if you're not sure what to do even gives you some ideas. Editing: over 40 workouts logged and this thing is still amazing. I decided to pay 4.99/ month to support developer. still find it amazing.

So far I have yet to find another app that is so blatantly straight forward and simple as this one. No frills or thrills, just what you need in a tracker app to keep whatever program you're on logged. The days of memorizing the total amount of sets I had to do for each exercise are gone. Now I have more memory bandwidth to remember the more important things in life. Thank you!

This is by far my favorite weight lifting tracking app. It has a ton of lifts pre-loaded exercises and allows you to creat new lifts if needed. The UI is simple and easy to use. It has great reporting and tracking of exercises over time. It is simple and I think that's the beauty of it. Super easy to use and if you just want to track your workouts without a pen and paper, look no further. Their subscription price is very reasonable. I'm a lifetime subscriber. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!

TL;DR: I enjoy this app and I recommend it for anyone who wants to keep track of their strength training. I decided to go with the pay version because I want to support the developer. Now, the detailed version: I used to keep track of my strength training regimen with pen and paper. My printer went kaput. So, I decided to come to the 21st century and try an app. I looked for an app years ago and didn't like anything I saw. So, I was worried I'd have the same result. Turns out the Strong app meets my needs quiet well. Features I use the most: Workout Feature -- I built two custom workouts mixed with custom exercises and exercises already provided by the app. The Workout feature also makes it easy to tweak your routine each time you repeat your workout. You can easily see what your previous performance was. And, you can also rate the difficulty level of your sets and edit your repetitions while resting between sets. Basically, anything I needed to do with pen and paper during my workout, I can do with the app. And the workout is timed from start to finished. So, you also have a log of how long your workout took. Rest Timer -- You can configure an auto timer to kick off after each set. Or manually start a timer. I was so happy to discover this feature! History Feature-- After my workouts are complete, I can go back and look at past performances. I can easily see where I've made personal records with certain exercises. Also, seeing your number of workouts grow reassures you that you're establishing a great habit. Charts and graphs -- I mainly use these to keep up with certain measurements I want to track. You can track all sorts of body measurements like your arms, legs, neck. You can even keep up with your caloric intake. Personally, I only keep track of my waist and weight. I use a different app to keep up with my calories. Other historical carts are available, but I don't bother with those. FAQ/Help Section -- Reading this section can help a lot. You'll get answers to a lot of support questions up front. And an outline of what all the acronyms and abbreviations mean in the app. Plates -- I work out with dumbbells. So, I can't speak to this feature. But the Plates feature looks like a way to easily plan out what plates you use on your barbell. To me, the cons are minor But here are a few: Workout Screen is a bit . . . sensitive-- The biggest issue I experience so far is accidentally clicking out of the Workout screen during my workout. Now, this is easy to fix and I don't lose any of my workout progress. So don't panic if it happens to you. And remember, the Workout screen gives you a fair amount of flexibility. So, this is something of a side effect of that flexibility. Sometimes I accidentally add an extra set during a workout. But again, this is easy to fix without losing anything. And the more comfortable I get with the app, the less these things happen. New users may want to experiment with the app before doing an actual workout. You can always delete a mock workout after playing around with the different features. Sample Workouts -- You may have an urge to delete the default sample workouts, At the time I'm posting this, you cannot delete them. But I eventually realized that they aren't a bother. My custom workouts are at the top of the selection screen. So, after a while I don't notice the sample workouts any longer. Based on their FAQ page the developer is working on this feature request. No Timer for Duration Sets -- This app doesn't provide a timer for duration sets like planks for example. That's OK though. I can easily switch to my clock app on my phone and use the timer/stopwatch feature. Then, I can easily switch back to the Strong app. No progress is lost in my workout. This works well for me and I wouldn't mind if this feature never made it into the app. In the end, I'm very happy with this app. The subscription is affordable and worthwhile to me. If you need to keep track of your strength training, this is a great app for that.

Had to get this app because Progression didn't make the jump to Android 11. So far it's a good app, pretty user friendly, good animations. My only suggestion is to have each exercise in a workout on a separate, which would show all past history of that exercise, to easily see progress, instead of having to switch screens to view history.

Really like the app. The only drawback I face is the template limit of 3 in the free version. I wouldn't mind paying to get more, especially if it was a 1 time fee, but the pro subscription is too expensive especially since I only care about workout templates. Would be good to have more pricing tiers, kind of a "semi pro" or "amateur" plan without charts and measurements. Almost perfectly what I wanted :(

Awesome app. I have found one small but annoying bug. When you add notes to your exercises, it will save some notes and not others (yes, at the end I told it to update values and template). UPDATE: You can lock the notes by tapping on them and changing their color . This is confusing. There is a key-icon. Tapping to lock it should make that icon rotate 90°

I've tried a lot of digital trackers and this is the only one I'll ever use again. When I started working out I logged my workouts on paper because I hated every app I could find. After finding this one it's the only one I use and now, as a trainer, it's the only digital tracker I recommend to my clients. I have only ever found very minor things I would change, like being able to choose the exact measurement for each exercise, you can customize that, but not to the extent I would prefer.

New to fitness, learned about this app on reddit. I love it because it has explanations of how to do each exercise with demo if necessary, and its easy to navigate. I set a goal to use it 20 times then im purchasing the premium. Edit: I got premium for Android, and it was not worth the purchase for me. It may be worth it for folks that are advanced and have been using it for years or have set routines, but it isn't worth the cost for me. Unfortunately I bought a full year instead of monthly.

Simply amazing. Tracks everything from reps to rest. The interface is nice, clean, and easy to use. I find the small demo videos of the exercise very useful. My local Y uses a different app for part of their fitness problem. I use their suggested routine but track exclusively in this app. The only thing I think I'd like to see in the future is the ability to track settings for some of the machines. I rarely use them but would love to know what settings were used instead of having to guess

Top notch app - or at least it was. The ability to customize workouts, change the number of sets, view the equipment and the movements if you were uncertain about whether the move was right for the muscle group you were working - top notch. Good library too, even allowing you to add exercises. A lot of this has been locked down in the paid version now. Can't really customize your workouts, won't recall if you add a set (but you can still do it manually) - really too expensive to bother paying. $7? Nope. For $3 I might pay.

This app is really awesome at logging your workouts. It's has a pretty comprehensive database of the more common exercises and will give you instructions on how to do them. It tracks your PRs, rest periods, and let's you customize your own workouts. The free version limits you to 3, but the premium is unlimited, I believe. The main area that could use improvement is more app integration. It does integrate with Google Fit, but that's it. Luckily, Google Fit integrates with most everything else. I pay the monthly subscription fee and feel it's definitely worth it.

It's pretty close to what I'm looking for. I used to use WeightXReps years ago, but the WXR app feels clunky. This is close to notebook logging, but I find that the exercise history list is too short, so you have to scroll past a bunch of exercises you don't do to find one of the dozen that you do perform. Another issue is that it's not powerful enough for planning. I can add notes for RPE, but I can't really chart out blocks ahead of time, because the app really only supports static weight.
Thomas Wintringham
Overall, I would say that I enjoy the app and recommend it. There a few things I can immediately think of that would make the app better; all small adjustments. - Add weight widget to the dashboard. I understand why it is left in measurements but I think it's an easy add to dashboard. - Allow more fine tuned control over mid session changes to a template; you only get update values only, update all, or keep original routine. - Folders for exercise routines. As it is, it's messy and cluttered.

I've been lifting for around 30 years. This app does what many others do, but with a streamlined interface optimized for strength training. The ability to customize workouts is solid, the ability to prescribe sets and loads is solid, and the tracking mechanics are solid. Everything you need, and in a smooth interface. Love it!

The one thing that can keep me from going to the gym is purpose. Of course I need to go for the activity, but what's the point if your going only to go through the motions. This app won't give you purpose, but it will help you track your purpose and the goals you are looking h to achieve. It reminds me a lot of the sheets we use to use back in high school when I played football, buy much more intuitive. I dropped it on star because it does not sync with Samsung Health, only Google Fit.
