Best progression tracking app I've found thus far. Everything is very intuitive and well thought out. Been using it for a couple of years and it stays consistently great. Best of all -- no ads. The only thing I would ask for is a way to manually differentiate between warmup sets and working sets. I don't need warm up set advice so just program it in myself and then have to guess by the weight and reps that the first 1-2 sets are warm up. Also, drop sets are a little awkward to use still.

Overall the app is good, could be improved in a few ways - UI is good, Exercise inventory is good. Could improve with having firstly an optimised system for exercises - sort exercises by what they are and have a subsection for grips etc. Another recommendation is optimising drop sets - rather than having a pre-set weight based on the set have a customisable weight so I can pick what I want! However, the support team is awesome and help. Overall this app is awesome and would recommend to anyone.

App is great at tracking your progression. The generated workouts are very nice and saves me time in having to go through my notes and construction new workouts. The ability to switch a particular exercise or create an exercise not listed is very helpful. I also like the developers are updating the app regularly. Definitely recommend this app for you workout needs.

So far I've really enjoyed using the app. I haven't explored the pro options as of yet but will do so in the coming weeks. App tracks program volume in regards to sets per muscle group and tracks all sorts of measurements. I'm digging it. Also has an associated Facebook group which is growing and somewhat active which will only become more active and valuable is it grows.

UPPED MY GAME! So glad I took a chance on this app! It's worth every single penny. Before I started using this app, I had been piecemealing my workouts together as best I could, but was really searching for something to guide me along--something that would help me GAIN and PROGRESS as I went. I love that this app created workouts for me (though I can swap/add/remove any movements as I see fit) that were pre-designated for upper body, lower body, full-body, etc., and got me using equipment I had been intimidated to try. The video clips showing how to execute the movements were really helpful, too. If you really want to level up, do yourself a favor and set the "periodization" toggle to ON. This will add sets gradually to each movement as you progress through the month. This was something I would have skipped and missed out on if I hadn't been using this app! Don't leave YOUR GAINS and YOUR PROGRESS on the table. Get after it! My husband and I now both use this app and have a friendly competition going with each other. We send each other our highlights and achievements after each workout. I LOVE seeing how many total pounds I lifted during a workout. Hello, motivation! FIVE STARS. DOWNLOAD NOW!

This app is almost perfection. The only thing and I mean THE ONLY THING it needs for a perfect 5 stars is a tempo training addition. An automated voice that says push, pause, lower, pause and then counts the rep outload. Seriously even without the premium features it's still perfect the premium feature tho are killer there's nothing better for no cost. It does not have additions for cardio exercises tho which was weird at first but forgettable

If you're new to the app, it takes a bit of intentional learning to figure out how to create your own workout layout. That said, it's not difficult and you shouldn't need a tutorial. I love being able to design my own routine and most of what I need is listed. However, it's primarily for weights and machines. You may not find certain workouts that fall under a general calisthenics group.

Wow! This is a great app that has even exercises that you don't typically think of (single-leg side position leg press). Some exercises aren't in the available video list (single-leg/single-leg variations of exercises as well as variations done on a bosu ball) but you can add your own exercises and also add notes to each exercise. I love the options to easily superset and dropset. I love that it tracks how long your workout took, and you can see that you did a workout on their calendar screen.

LOVE this app! No ads, even in the free version. Functionality is great, even in the free version. I can build my own plans, customize them endlessly, select from a huge library of exercises and variations on them, complete with high quality demonstration videos and primary and auxiliary muscles targeted, and even add my own custom exercises to the library. Editing a plan is a cinch. Adding days is easy, days can be duplicated for faster editing, days and exercises can be rearranged seamlessly.

Exactly what I was looking for. A simple app to add exercise (in its database) and check them off as I get them done - (daily to once a week). It has my history of previous days exercising and a way to add new exercise ( not in its database). It has SETS, REPS, LBS, and NOTES. The notes can be repeated daily or / and something for that certain day which shows up in history. I use S10+ with no problem.

I made an account and built my entire workout routine. My phone was restarted, I lost access, tried to log back in, and now I can't access anymore. Edit #2 customer service was amazing and they managed to (kind of) solve my problem. I still cannot log in on a slow internet speed due to an underlying issue on the app (I think) but they were attentive of everything and even compensated due to the issue and just for that I will leave 5 stars.

Offers solid weight training programs in a convenient UX. I switched to AP after using its competitor's app, and I found AP more grounded and less randomized than the other app. It lacks a weight calculator, warm up sets, and the app tutorial is lacking - it took me 2 weeks to understand what the target symbol was; still, it's got a good UX and the LP programming is excellent. Edit: Update - The app now a includes warm up set tracker! I still enjoy the program a lot, and I bought an annual sub.

I've been using Alpha now for 4 weeks, and I'm please with the results. The UI is intuitive, the videos explaining the exercises are one click away from the tracker, and the gentle reminder to go work out isn't annoying. I found this much more useful than all the other major apps out there, and well worth the $.

Great experience so far. I tried multiple apps for weight training and fitness using a home gym and Alpha Progression has been the best. It does a great job of creating workouts based on the equipment and time that you have as well as tracking all the stats. It is simple and straight forward to use and the Pro version is well worth it for the added features of AI based progression. Highly recommended!

Used the free version and found the set up not easy on the fly. Drop sets did not allow customization easily, they provided preaet amounts (I could not find how to change it), then there is no cardio listed either. Not for me. There is customization for other exercises and that looked good, did not get a chance to try it out.

Great app. I just wish it would ask what our goal would be. Like what if we are trying to gain lean muscle and trying to trim down. I do not see an option to incorporate cardio in a generated plan. I'd like to see a more extensive process to help out together a plan based on fitness goals. Update: After a month of usage and talking to a team that cares about this product, I can see myself using this as my main workout app. The team will be focusing more on cardio options

Also has great customer service if you have a question you can't find an answer to in the extensive FAQ list. Top notch product and service.

I've been using this app for 3 months and I'm very pleased with my results! I've been doing the same workout routine for years and with this app on only 3 months I'm seeing improvement. I also love the customizations so if a machine isn't available you can either skip it and come back or even replace it very easily. And you can determine how many reps and sets you want as opposed to other apps that are more rigid in their order. Highly recommend!
