I used to be a long-time user of the app, but then I hit a creative slump and took a break. When I returned, everything was subscription-based, even writing poetry and liking the works of others. It's not my cup of tea to add another subscription on the long list of subscriptions we have to endure, so I'm withdrawing from this app. It was good while it lasted.

Suddenly cannot even get to my own poems without starting a free trial. These are basic features I have been using since the app came out like posting and viewing poems. I would expect some new/advanced features to show up behind a paywall, but not the essential purpose of the app. There are plenty of other places I can post my work for free. Since I cannot even view my own work, am just going to have to start my free trial to get all my work off the app and make sure to remember to cancel it.

I enjoyed this as an outlet to make poetry, and gave it a break from burnout. Came back to a subscription form of service instead of the free form writing there was. Unable to write anything anymore so I'm leaving this. My feedback is that you should be able to write without having to pay, subscriptions are not the way to go when it comes to creativity.

was great last year as I used it alot. now having it as a pay to create and see my notifications is not that great. I am forced to find a new app that does not have this feature, as I used to love using this app. Hope with the amount of negative reviews you guys are getting it will prompt change.

I have to pay to use the main feature of the app now? This used to be so good. I would write my poems whenever I felt inspired. Now I'm being forced to pay or look at my likes? A 14-day free trial is not compensation for removing a basic feature of this app. You could've just put ads every now and then, but this? Edit: that's the stupidest thing to do, I've had the app for years, and others probably longer. Did they not get a pass for their loyalty? I doubt they would pay.

I understand it was a "tough decision" to move to a subscription-based platform, but there's no doubt in my mind that this was the wrong choice as I'm sure many users are going to slowly move to other, free-to-use apps. The app was special to me and I did enjoy it at one point and was going to rate it 5 stars, but part of what made it great was that it was free but still a great resource. While the platform is great, it isn't worth a subscription.

This app was one of the best I'd ever seen on Google play store for writing poems and connecting with other writers. I lost my device a few months back and got a new one recently only to see that everything is now behind a paywall. I couldn't access my profile, write, or do anything at all. It really stung because this was one of my favorite apps to use. I guess all good things do come to an end💔

I just saddens me to see everything changing into subscription based products, especially an app that is supposed to promote expressiveness, creativity and freedom. I just think it pushes users away. When I first downloaded the app, I thought it was pretty good and could grow better. But now I've decided to delete the app. Guess I'll find something new on the app store

i used to greatly enjoy this app, the only thing i wanted differently was interactive features. they were added which only boosted the app. but i just came back to find it is now subscription based and i can't even look at my notifications or write without having a huge page telling me to subscribe. you guys downgraded horribly. i don't care about the subscription addition, but you should at least be allowed to interact with your own notifications and WRITE even if can't subscribe. terrible

Fantastic. Simple, great active community. Just one criticism because I just lost a LOT of work i did as I was editing. Maybe an autosave function if the app is closed before the person saves the draft? So thye don't lose their entire work. Other than that it's amazing and perfectly simple, yet complete for what it's for. 5 stars once the drafts autosave or there's a way to recover edit history for a work. Love the app.

This app is great for poetry. Hence the name. However, your notifications have a recursion issue (stares at code monkey) on Android. Specifically for poems, when I go to edit a poem to copy it and put it in my own notes or Insta or w/e, it completely takes out the spacing between stanzas and turns it into a free-form (which is unintentionally great.) Get those code monkeys to work, this app runs a bit clunky but has a ton of potential.

The app is so good! All around perfect for sharing poetry and finding other people's work. I do wish the load times between pages were shorter, though. I'm not sure why they're so slow but you'd imagine that it would be fast to load written content! Edit on May 4, 2021: Load times have improved so much!!! Thank you, Poetizer ♡♡♡ All we'd need now is a way to reply and message each other and we'd have a perfect poetry sharing app!

Update as of 10/5/22: this is still an issue. Chat function is worse. OP: 7/20/22 I was having issues not being able to see messages left by other poets. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Worked fine for a few hours now back to glitching. The formatting has also always been an issue, adding double letters and making text disappear. Please fix. It is ruining the experience.

Good for what it is. There's a problem that happens quite often that can be annoying. When I make a post, it looks fine before I post it, then once posted, the words get jumbled together. No spaces or anything. And when I edit it, the post still doesn't get fixed. It makes formatting any post really difficult and can ruin the post. I just wish I didn't have to continually fight with it. I have an android. I thought it was an update issue, but I've already updated the app.

I like the app, but wonder why I can't view likes of an individual poem. I scroll this long list of everything. comments, likes and when someone I follow publishes something new. it's a lot for one list. things go unseen. maybe a format more like Instagram. viewable likes on each piece published. I like the design of it. no pictures, no framing or borders. just the text. perfect for what the app is for. no focus stolen by "shiney thing". and a "mentioned" feature in comments. have a good one.

The app is great the only flaw i see is the editing. Sometimes i want to make the words smaller or arrange them differently and it will completely black out the letters that ive highlighted so i try to edit it and delete it and edit it and delete it until i get it just right. Then the finished product isnt the same as how its portrayed when i wrote it. If this gets fixed it will be perfect. Thank you.

I absolutely loved this app at first, but recently, it developed a weird glitch when composing writing and even when I tried logging in, I couldn't get in. I tried to log in using email and it would send me straight back to the log in screen. Additionally, I would have message notifications for messages I had recieved and read a long time ago, and the notification would still be there as if it had not been recieved. For this reason, I am no longer using the app.

I honestly love the app. I would give it more stars if there was more of the "social" aspect... there's no way to directly respond to comments. There's no message system and the customization of it is a little lacking. Like the Minimalist UI is great but i get bored easily and would like to switch it up.
