Nice app design but it won't let me skip past Level 6. I completed the test at the end with 2 stars (because my mic wasn't working properly), and then I tried again and got 4 stars. But it only saved the 2 stars result and won't let me skip to level 7. I don't want to do all the level 6 content because I know it already and it would be wasting my time.

The three stars was a very tough decision. The content is incredibly solid, with well designed lessons and engaging method. The technical side of the app is lacking in many respects. The settings are ridiculously hard to find, and the speaking exercises are very strangely timed - they give you the same amount of time to say a sentence, no matter how long or short that sentence is. So when the sentences become longer in higher levels, the recording is sometimes cut off before I'm done saying it.

This is a great app to learn Chinese! I tried a lot and this is one of the best. But 1) the 'put in the right order the characters' exercise is difficult to read because of a black text over a dark grey cell 2) I use the app in the train. I can't do speaking exercises. This lower down my accuracy rate. It would be great to have an option in the settings to skip the speaking parts. 3) 会 means 'can' in English but the picture associated with 会 is a car (mistake between car and can?). Thank you !

I have been trying out several language learning apps and this is my favourite so far. However, I can't give it five stars because the audio volume varies greatly sometimes and there are exercises where no translation is shown at the end even if they contain words I haven't learned yet. I don't mind having to guess during the exercise, but afterwards I would like to at least find out what that meant! Other than that it's great.

Good app but needs improvements. This is the fifth app I've tried for learning Chinese, so I've got lots to compare to! I like that there's more focus on pronunciation and a lot more dialogue that one can listen to. However, quite often you just don't get the English translation or pronunciation of the task. I may solve the task but I still want to double-check the translation and hear the pronunciation. That has been quite annoying and it's a shame, because otherwise I'd make a purchase.

In my opinion best app on the market. I am a self-studying learner. I have tried to learn from a book also tried every possible apps free trail. Only this one convinced me to pay the premium. And it is worth every cent. The lessons are very well thought. It will gradually introduce you to new difficulty , while keeping it not overwhelming. And retention is also high in my experience.

I used to use Duolingo but I became a little frustrated by its various inconsistencies and lack of explanation, I searched for something better and was recommended this. So far I'm loving it, there's a great variety of methods. It asks you to complete sentences, select replies, role play conversations, it rates on your pronunciation (I'm guessing this is where the AI comes in). After a few months of trial, I decided it was a good investment to pay for a years worth. So far not regretting it!

Great App! It looks like a lot of work went in this to make this. Very few apps have material for advanced Chinese so this is fantastic. I only wish that you can download the material for offline use. But it only let's you download the lesson you currently are on.

Hi, superchinese is a great app. I'm currently subscribed to it but the only problem is that I could not progress to the next lesson as it keeps crashing for some reason. Whenever I'm about to finish my lesson, it keeps on giving me a white screen and my progress for the lesson is gone. Please fix this issue. It wasn't like this previously. It just suddenly happened in the recent update. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times and I had to repeat the current lesson every time.

The app is quite good but the content is really full of ridiculous content like women are romantic and men realistic. The listening task are too quite underdevelop. Many tests are easily passed by guessing because there are not many options.

EDIT: I am giving this 4 stars now that I've found the function for practicing writing in both apps (my mistake tbh), however, as in Hello Chinese, I find the way that it works pretty impractical. Although it is not as bugged as in Hello Chinese, I find that ChineseSkills solution for practicing writing is way superior, even though it doesn't have a good hitbox validation. Maybe, to make the app really the best, you could implement that style with a proper hitbox so your result is what you draw
