After being bombarded with ads to try this awesome app I finally decided to give it a try. I installed it, agreed to a free trial and proceeded to try it out. From the first second it had issues, nothing would load. Nothing on the explore page or any of the content on my device. I tried restarting my phone and giving it another go but still nothing. Uninstalled. I really wanted to see what they hype was about but I guess that's all it is. Hype.

This app has wowed me a bunch of times. To be honest, most of the filters are just OK, nothing fancy. But a handful of AI based effects are really cool. I especially like the cartoon and anime effects, as they often generate amazing results. I wish there are more effects like them. Keep up the good work! Update: Jan 2023: The new AI based anime filter is awesome! Glad the app stays up to date with the latest of AI image generation.

The other filters are cool. But when I try opening anything using the A.I. It just keeps spinning. Disabled lock screen. Tried on three different devices. Cleared cache an data. And reinstalled the app twice. Tried 12 different pictures and got nothing. It just keeps saying that it's generating an image using A.I. I really wanted to see the cartoon filter in action. But this is somewhat heart breaking. I'll keep it installed in hopes that it's updated soon. At first it use to give me a 75% won't

Its a really really good editing app and I love using it but I do have some things to say and a reason why I rated this app 3 starts and not 5. So I'll just be editing a video or prequel and then the video goes black,I can't adjust things,I can't press buttons. I have to restart the whole editing video. Its happened like 8 times today. Please PLEASE fix this and maybe I will rate it 5 stars but only if this issue is fixed. Thank you have a good day/evening/morning/night/afternoon.

Save your money. Don't buy premium!! Honestly the worst decision I made was paying for a 1 year subscription. I liked the app and the free features so I decided to pay for the premium subscription. Worst decision I could've made!! The app continues to crash. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but the same thing continues to happen. I've spent over a week not being able to open the app. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed! I want my money back!!
Someone who everyone hates
It has pretty decent filters, But it crashes too much. It'll freeze my entire phone for a while, & I can't do ANYTHING. When it freezes I can't exit the app, Turn my phone off, NOTHING. Don't get me wrong, The filters are cool.. The crash isn't though. My phone just crashed, & froze for an hour & 30 minutes, Because of this app. I'm deleting the app for now, Hopefully the crash gets fixed.

Whenever using the text feature at first it works maybe the first three times, then after that it just crashes completely. It just kicks me out the app. Or it makes my phone freeze. Or sometimes the effects/filters don't even work. This was like this before I updated it and it's still like this even after it being updated. Or it lags heavily. Whenever I'm done with an edit with text, and I press save, it lowers the quality of the text itself and makes the text crooked????

June 2020- It is a great concept and pretty useful....when it doesn't crash!!!! Please fix. I cannot finish waiting ONE photo without the app crashing. I have to restart OVER AND OVER hoping it doesn't crash EDIT Feb 2021. I have a brand new phone, wifi is on. Phone service is good. I tried this app again. It's still trash. I try to use templates and it just loads and loads forever with no result. I try to take a photo through the app with the filters, it just loads and loads with no success.

The only reason I downloaded this was to try the Cartoon AI because it's unique. (Most of which are premium locked, boooo.) The 2 which weren't never worked at all with any basic direct well-lit photo. Always gave an error message "Something went wrong. Please try again." Most other reviews also say they can barely get it to work, and talk about app instability. I'm certainly not paying when it doesn't seem to work at all.

I usually edit my own pics in photoshop, for the most creative freedom, but Prequel gives me a pretty solid starting point & inspiration. Save me a bunch of time! EDIT: After an update a few months ago, the app now regularly crashes, takes too long to apply filters, and often fails to apply edits altogether. I don't know what changed in the backend, but something definitely got screwed. I think it's time to move on to a new app!

The update never helped. It's nice I know. But, it worked so good on android now it works horribly. The filters take forever to load. So do the effects. And it takes forever to save. The only thing it needs to make it official for Androids is the blur for the beginning. Otherwise, I don't like the update. I mean, I can't adjust anything of the filter or the effects. Otherwise, I would rate it a five out of five instead of one out of five.

Android users barely get to do anything on this app. I wouldn't care if you couldn't edit photos but you can edit videos. Therefore I don't get the hype around this app because I can barely do anything on it The filters are amazing but the app itself just isn't. One star until you fix it. I could be waiting all year I don't know.. I understand this is a WIP but at least let us do something other than just edit photos. Plus either way the app always crashes anytime I layer effects. So one star

Close.... but not quite perfect yet. A lot of bugs when it comes to applying filters. Sometimes the filter will show up, sometimes it will not. I know this app has potential and works well on iPhone but needs to step up its game on Android. Its tedious having to download a filter only for it to not work when you apply it to your photo or video.

I love the edits but I HATE the app. It lag's, doesn't work most of the time, takes to long to output the videos, the export process is weird (why not just automatically save it to phone?), when you adjust the edits they revert back regardless of whether you save or not. I think the fact that I'm paying $3 a week for access to the app, it could AT LEAST be better.

Great effects and filters, but... Unnecessarily limited in the shape/size of photos, which makes editing very difficult because you have to crop or rotate even if you don't want to. Can't use the gallery selection. It doesn't show the folder selected, just my most recent photos. I have to take the extra steps of opening my gallery and sharing to the app each photo I want to edit. And now it just crashes within 5 seconds of trying to do anything. 👍🙄

Normally I'd give the app 5 stars, but for whatever reason the filters are constantly freezing now. I am trying to add the snow filter (from the "weather" effect) onto videos and the snow overly freezes after 10 seconds. I have deleted and reinstalled the app 5 times. It's up to date. Happens with other filters also, which is unfortunate. Outside of all the bugs that are happening now, though, the app is nice.

I have serious problems with this app. I used to be able to put up with the ads, yet still do what I needed to do. It worked amazing and I loved it. Now there's a limit of 3 on how many ai presets you can use in a day? Even if you "x" out of it, it still counts it as valid. You already hide all the top teir presets under paywall, but this is unusable. The way it was before was perfect, but the new changes piss me off. Not everyone can afford to give you $5 A WEEK for an editing app.

I'm not sure what the hype is for this app because it's no good for android phones. The filters look great but too bad I can't actually use them. The app takes way too long to load the actual filter and it crashes constantly, making me lose all my edits. The app crashes almost immediately when trying to layer effects on a single picture. I'm uninstalling because the app is useless.
