I really loved Facetune2 originally. but they've since updated and made many of the previously free options now require their "VIP" version. I'm all for companies adding paid features to their products, but taking away features from their free options is really disappointing. Their subscriptions are pretty pricey and if you want to get the one time payment its $50. That's insane. If I have to dish out that much money for an app I'd rather do it for a company that cares about its customers.

I really liked this app at first, but now after it became Facetune2, they keep changing previously free features like the "smoother" option and the "red eye" tool as part of the VIP subscription. If they decided to add new features and make that a part of the subscription, I understand that. But it's a shame they're taking away some of the original tools from the free version.

Although this app was great, it recently updated from "Facetune" to "Facetune 2" which i was really excited for, but when I opened it up it wanted me to pay monthly or a one time $49.99 purchase to unlock all features including the patch tool and add free. When I first found out about this I downloaded the free version to see if it was worth it, leading to the full version because the adds were too much. The fact that you have to pay for the app then pay to get certain features is super shady.

Facetune? More like wastetune. I used Facetune version 1 for many, many years. Even paying the fee for the Pro version multiple times when I switched devices or accounts. It was my rock, my goto for image touch ups. This new version just sucks compared to the original, and the Pro fee? Yeah right. All that says is, "Hi! We are greedy and lazy developers." No thanks fellas. It's time for me to find a new standard.

I purchased this app to edit photos and to get rid of some very prominent acne so I would no longer have to hide my face in pictures. However, I found that pretty much every single option to do something was not free. Very disappointed. Its such a great app as well. However, if nothing is available without a subscription, you can not really consider subscribers "VIP". Would have been happier paying $5 to download the app and then $1-2 for things such as makeup and hair. Not at all what I expect

Refine tool (under reshape) no longer functions as before. Previous versions allow you to move tiny individual pixels in a section without disturbing any surrounding pixels or areas. Also, you could blow the photo up much larger. Now, the "refine" functions exactly as the more general "reshape" (which is for shaping much larger areas of a photo). The sole reason I have used this app for over five years is the refine tool, the only one of its kind and quality I have found. Disappointing.

App is great, not worth a monthly fee. The app works excellently for simple phone photo editing. It was great when they'd let you edit something and just watch a short add to download it. But over the past year they've made the app more and more pushy in trying to force you to buy it. It's no longer possible to edit photos on the "free with ads" version, the app tries to force me every single time to buy and will no longer allow me to watch ads to download my work. Not worth $20 a month.

really annoying to have paid for the original app, only to have it updated to a version that costs 10x the original price to fully unlock. if you're going to charge 49.99 for an app, make it a separate program. extremely disappointed as I liked the previous version and used it all the time. will be finding a new solution now.

I loved this app. It was great for little touch ups and enhancements on my photos. But, like a lot of people are saying, the pay-to-use aspect of the app that came with the most recent update is disappointing. If I were an avid editor or took professional photos, I might consider paying full price, but I'm just here to remove some zits. I will not be using this app in the future.

Good editing tools but the ads force you to pay or discard changes. I'll use a certain editing tool and click save. Then an ad pops up with three options for payment. If I exit out without paying I go right back to where I was, unsaved. Click save again, the ad pops up with three options for payment. This doesn't happen every time, but at least once every time I use it. And it doesn't always happen when using the same tool, it will happen randomly while using any tool.

This used to be a good app only costing $2.99 USD. But now it's full of ads with several basic features you cannot use without paying a monthly fee of $5.99 USD or a yearly fee $23.99 USD, which is insane. I barely use this app to begin with, only every couple of months to make simple touches. I later used to just get what I need by screenshotting an edited photo but they added a feature not allowing this as well. Don't waste your time and money. Thankfully I was able to find some other apps.

I loved Facetune! I bought a new phone and had to download it again,and all I found was Facetune2. I though,okay...well I guess they updated.Cool! Nope...the original Facetune worked wonderfully for editing photos,I used it A LOT! This new one is a mess. I don't like the way it edits. The colors look off,and there's not as many free features. I uninstalled it after a week and got Snapseed instead.

i used facetune all the time, especially the patch and smoothing tool. BUT NOW since the update I can't do either of those :) I'm not about to pay money for something that the old version had for free, sorry. Plus the colorful gradient in the background might be pretty, it's pretty distracting. idk if you can change it back to white, but Im still not a fan. definitely getting rid of the app, I'm not happy

I absolutely love this app except for one problem. After editing a certain amount of photos, I always get to a point where it says that I neither need to pay $4.99 to remove ads or watch a video to continue using the app with ads, but then the video won't load because of an error and I can't use the app anymore. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time and it's getting on my nerves.

I love this app! There are lots of fun things you can do with it, but I have 2 major issues with it... 1) you can't save ANY of your edited pictures (after the first couple of "teaser/intro" ones) without either watching an ad OR paying for the Pro version, and 2) the Pro version is WAY too damn much (min. $24 up to $100)! Otherwise, it's awesome!

I used to use this a lot, great simple app that worked well. Good results with a couple simple tools. I didn't mind the ads, and was actually going to purchase the original. I'm unfortunately not willing to pay for a subscription now that FaceTime 2 has updated, but the basic tools at least are still free. When I first opened the app, it didn't appear they were usable without purchase, but it was my mistake.

You have to be connected to the internet to use this app in order to view ads, which are constant and invasive. I have rough internet connection so the app ceases to function without internet. On top of that, it's a monthly charge to get the app without ads? what a ripoff. You should enable an option to watch a long ad to disable them for 30 minutes at least. I've uninstalled, the ads RUIN this app.

I paid for Facetune, and hadn't used it in a while since changing phones. Now that doesn't seem to matter at all, and I have to pay up to $70 for it? No thanks! This was a good app, but not having any benefit for early adopters, or even a heads up about the shift, is just a bad customer experience and totally inexcusable for any decent customer success personnel. Embarrassing.
