Apps are automatically sorted into categories, you won't have to waste time organizing your icons anymore! The advantages of automatic app sorting have been recognized also by Apple which introduced it in their App Library in iOS 14.

Smart Launcher automatically changes the theme colors to match your wallpaper.

Smart Launcher requires access to the Android Accessibility API in order to provide some features like turning off the screen or showing the notification panel with a gesture. Enabling the access is optional and in any case, Smart Launcher will never collect any kind of data using this API.

I think there are a lot of negative reviews about this app from when they upgraded from version 5 to version 6. There was an issue where the launcher did not work for about a week and most people lost their layouts. I will say after rebuilding my layout (which really wasn't that big of a deal) I really do enjoy the functionality of this launcher. I also feel like the developers would not make the same mistake again when upgrading.

SO glad I turned off auto updates on my main phone (this is a cheap backup). Absolutely despise the update to version 6. It rearranged everything. Even clicking a folder brings up icons out of the order they were in previously. If this had happened on my main phone, I'd be livid. I have visual processing issues and moving things out of the order I'm used to is an absolute nightmare.

Used to love this launcher, it's been my go-to for many years across several phones. Now this latest update won't work at all. Keeps giving a pop-up that says it's out of date and to update the app, but the app has been updated, restarted, and reinstalled several times. I keep getting the same message. If this can be resolved I would be happy to continue using it. But at this moment in time it has rendered my phone inoperable while actively running. Uninstalling until this can be remedied.

After experiencing the unpleasant surprise of the launcher not working for several days everything seems to be back in order. Can't say I'm stoked that it just quit out of nowhere, but it was the first problem I've had in over 2 years using the launcher. As I didn't know how long it would be down I tried a couple of different products and was underwhelmed. I still think that those is the best launcher as far as ease of use, organization, and features. Really like the gestures.

Worked great until a few hours ago when my phone unexpectedly stopped working and I was redirected in a loop to this page in the Play Store. I had no idea what was going on or how to fix it, and my phone had been rendered unusable. I opted to uninstall just so it would work again. I went back to Nova Launcher because this is so ridiculously inconvenient. I had to learn from a reddit post that this is a widespread issue and not something wrong with my phone. Very poorly managed "update".

One step forward, 2 steps back. I have no issues with the recent changes with the app, in fact I love the ability to finely tune the appearance and position of widgets and icons. Currently I have my apps set to appear whenever I swipe to the left, unfortunately now whenever I do the action it keeps moving my clock widget. Even when I set it to prevent modifications it still pops up the prompt to ask for permission to modify. No idea why the launcher is registering my swipes as long presses.

Some requests: 1. Can you guys improve the drag and drop experience on app pages? It's way too sensitive when you have a scrolling page. 2. Please let us break the rigid confine of the 'grid' home page option of bottom/centered app icons. There should be a 'free for all' option that allows you to move app icons anywhere on home. I like making clusters at different positions on the page. 3. The clock widget on home keeps disappearing. I have to tap/hold to resize it so it displays again.

The lack of a docked bar keeps the appearance of my phone's home screen clean. The lack of clutter is something I didn't know I like until I tried it. I have NOT had any problems with crashing, freezing or any glitches to that I have found yet. I appeaes that everything is running smoother on my phone. The set up page was pretty straightforward and I also put this on my tab (glxy a7) and the consistency is great. I'm really digging this!

I've loved this app for years. I don't mind the SL 6 updates and changes if it actually worked. I had to set the default launcher to stock just to get to my home screen and I can't reset to SL because I keep getting an error every time I try. I think if there was either a tutorial or a warning it would have been an easier flip.

I've been using this launcher for about 6 years, and have had the premium version for about as long (bought it twice from when I switched accounts). It changed a few weeks ago to version 6, which is fine. But then I tried to go to my home screen and it said that I couldn't because the alpha version no longer works, and then it said the beta program is full. Why would you limit the beta program while also forcing an upgrade?

I've been using Smart Launcher for quite some time and generally it gets better each time, with a few hiccups in between. I generally prefer it to other ones out there. However, I wish I could set "extra home pages" for 3 swipe directions as I have no use of the news and search pages. Only the "extra home page" extends utlities and functions via widgets, thus, "extra home pages" is a poor name choice for what I get out of them and I want them in all directions.

I love the app really I do. But I'm noticing that everytime I use gesture to return to the home screen my entire display flicks for a second when I try to open a new app it doesn't open the app the first press. I have to wait another second before I can open said app. After it flicks, this happens every time without fail. Not sure if it's an Android 11 thing or a gesture thing. I really hope they fix this.

EDIT: Issue fixed! This app has been phenomenal over the many years I've used it. Unfortunately, it "updated" without warning one day, and is no longer usable. When launched, it simply informs me that the alpha version is outdated and needs to be updated, but as you can see, the beta program is full. I'm now forced to go back to the awful Samsung launcher. I'm very disappointed ☹️

I am updating a negative review I wrote earlier when the launcher stopped working completely and I was unable to update to version 6. I contacted the developer and they provided an explanation and an option to download the installer directly. I downloaded the installer, and I have had no problems since. I have been using Smart Launcher for a long time, and I really like it. I am giving 5 stars not only for the program but also for the excellent customer service!

This app has been a core part of my phone experience for years now. To the point I most of the time forget it's not stock. I was reminded how much of a difference this launcher makes when a critical bug stopped it from working. Giving 5 stars not just for the app, but for their responsible response to their error. All I had to do was contact them and they immediately sent me a fixed version, no hassle, to use while waiting for Google to approve it. They've also taken steps to avoid repeats.

I like the customizable colors and the automatically organized apps. It's a cool feature. I wish that the search button in the app drawer can have a text search, and I noticed if you hide an app, it still appears as an option when you tap the icon on homescreen and it asks you to choose your web browser, music player, etc.

Easily customizable and makes everything more organized and fantastically accessible. Love it and have used it for 2 years. Super-responsive and helpful customer service. Edit 1/30/22: This started today, but I am unable to access or update the launcher at all. Waiting on a fix. Edit 2/9/22: Patched and good as new! Even more layout options now.

This is one of the most unique layouts I've found in the play store. It does take a bit of getting used to because the app drawer defaults to have categories that self-sort, with the added benefit of creating your own categories. The homepage has distinct layout options which are really cool. I think there are one or two icon customization options they could have developed better, and I purchased a separate icon pack. Does not play well with Hangouts.
