A few things you can do on Threads…

■ Access your Instagram followers
Your Instagram username and verification badge are reserved for you. Automatically follow the same accounts you follow on Instagram in a few taps, and discover new accounts too.

■ Share your point of view
Spin up a new thread to express what's on your mind. This is your space to be yourself, and you control who can reply.

■ Connect with friends and your favorite creators
Jump to the replies to get in on the action and react to commentary, humor and insight from the creators you know and love. Find your community and connect with people who care about whatever it is you’re interested in.

■ Control the conversation
Customize your settings and use controls to manage who can see your content, reply to your threads, or mention you. Accounts you’ve blocked will carry over from Instagram, and we’re enforcing the same Community Guidelines to help ensure everyone interacts safely and authentically.

■ Find ideas and inspiration
From TV recommendations to career advice, get answers to your questions or learn something new from crowd-sourced conversations, thought leaders and industry experts.

REMOVED. A waste of space, a waste of time. It's pure spam, an advertising platform and showing and pushing posts from accounts I don't follow nor do I have any interest in. I accept there has to be some advertising, but this is beyond OTT! There's nothing encouraging me to stick with it. I get more than enough adverts and spam from all over the place. I'm NOT canon fodder.

I love this app, as it has way fewer spam bots than most, and a great community. BUT IT'S SO BUGGY, I CANT UPLOAD PHOTOS half the time it says failed to upload, crashes constantly, and is just absolutely too buggy. Needs a lot more features and then it will be a great app. Not being able to post just randomly makes the app nearly unusable.

I miss the old Twitter so much but this design is much more pleasing. Reminds me of when apps weren't trying to all be the same and instead using their own appeal to draw new users. The aesthetic is more pleasing than twitters though, good design and good improvement. The only thing I wish is that you could message each other. It would be great to link Instagram messages to threads and have them sync.

Hello, although I am active on this application and I believe that the application is wonderful, the results do not satisfy me. I am active and publish many daily posts, but my interaction is weak. I would like to advise you to work on the application more and to add features and features in order to make it easier to use. The user feels pleasure.

The app got a strong launch, but the low update velocity killed most of the momentum and engagement levels have tanked. I'll increase my star rating when I get more features to approach Twitter app parity (and more), such as: - Topic search (still doesn't work for me) - Hashtags - GIFs (from Tenor, not Giphy) - Direct Messages/Private IM - Trends & Trends for you - Lists - Auto feed refresh without manual pull - Edit recent post (like 30 mins) - Creating polls/survey questions

I'm unable to use the app, except the home page even there i can't interact with content but watch and refresh. Whole other tabs search/profile/post/activity tabs aren't intractable at all, i can't post, i can't search, i can't see my profile threads, not even notification. I have tried install/uninstall plenty times and clear data /cache. Nothing is working. Even i have tried sending feedback, i think 3 times but Nobody is responding. 👎🏼

The app crashes when you scroll too far. Afterwards, it then crashes on launch. When it isn't crashing, there is no messaging feature, and the button to display just your follows is concealed behind the logo. I can't honestly praise it.

This is the Blue alternative to X. My biggest issue with Threads is the Video player. Most times, I get picture with no sound. It would be nice to have a video open in the player of my choice. I get that it is still in its infancy. So we wait.

Genuinely, this is one of the best apps I've ever used! I was never big on online friends/social media in general, but now I have a bunch of mooties who I genuinely like, people to talk to, and a place to talk about stuff 🥹💖 still, there are some things it lacks in terms of functionality, but I admit that changes and fixes roll out quickly! Great job with this 🩷🩷

I was on the Bird App from way back, '06. It got bad and went worse, and I was sucked right into that scene, and a lot of its weird and angry discourse. There was a point where I found people that I could relate to, and there were cool things, and it went to Hell. Threads is working to be the good version of this, I think, if only to spite Musk. I think that's a great reason to build a place where the good parts of Twitter thrive. Threads, Ho! Thanks for the great free product! Great work!

The app lacks the search option to seek specific topics based on a keyword. It claims that it offers it and even notified me that I can use it. But when I boot up the app and try using a keyword to search for any posts discussing a specific topic, it just shows me the usual boring list of accounts that are using that keyword as their user name. It amazes me that such a basic function is not yet widely available.

A feable copy of Twitter but less interesting and with fewer features. Like with all Meta products the algorithm is terrible, so you don't see a timeline of interesting or relevant threads. Glitchy, keeps alerting you to the same old notifications. Had it for about a month and uninstalled it, it's not worth it when you have better alternatives.

It *looks* good but that's where it stops. It works but most basic settings that you should be able to change in app, you have to change in Instagram which is not very user friendly. Honestly this app could've used an extra week or two in development before it launched.

Regrettably, I can't rate the Thread app higher than 1 star. Its cluttered interface, consistent lag, and frequent crashes severely hinder communication efficiency. Essential features like customizable notifications and search are surprisingly absent, while the lack of responsive customer support leaves users stranded. A disappointing experience overall.

While I do think the app has some potential, there are several problems. Some of them include the lack of photo filters when you upload photos, the inability to delete your Threads account without your Instagram account, the inability to use more than one account, and the app crashing several times when I log out, leading myself to delete data and cache rather frequently. I wish this app wasn't released prematurely and that Instagram gives more time to develop Threads as a more stable app.

Missing key features. Finding content is weak. No volume control on videos is particularly irksome. Browser version is even worse. Twitter has become a toxic wasteland. This should be one of the major contenders for those making the exodus from that cesspool, but it's not there yet. Zuck needs to step things up.

Better than my X. But... please change the logo from black and white - it's very hard to spot, looks too much like a lot of apps I don't look at very often. I suggest using the black background and coloured Instagram transition on the "thread", the same way the logo is on the apps startup screen. Then it'll stand out more amongst other apps. The whole meta branding could do with an overhaul to show their connections to one another, tbh.

Overall I like the app but now it's stopped working. All I get is "something went wrong" in my feed and nothing else. I've rebooted the phone, cleared the cache, deleted all the data, uninstalled/reinstalled, signed out/in, nothing fixes it. It's a 1-way street where I can post, and see what I've posted, but that's it. Hope it gets fixed soon.
