Description of Complete Music Reading Trainer

Good app. I like the variety of features: midi & voice input, guessing by note name or by piano keys only. One feature that I'm surprised to see missing: training notes with # and b signs. You can change key signatures, but you should also allow notes outside of key.

Great app, definitely worth buying the full version. My only problem is I would like to use this while my instrument is in A=415Hz, but the options for transposition don't have "sounds a minor second below". Perhaps they could make a custom option.

This app is everything I ever hoped for when it comes to studying piano notes. Gradually introducing new notes and quizzing on random notes, it has helped me quickly and efficiently learn to read music. I use this app connecting my phone to my keyboard. I highly recommend buying the cord from your phone to keyboard!

The user needs feedback on why they missed a note. It is impossible to tell the difference between timing out and hitting the wrong note when the speed is fast. The game is just suddenly over. In addition, at high speed, if you miss a note, you are guaranteed to miss the next one because there is a moment during which the game will not accept input.

Music has never been my strong suit, but this app is making it easy to learn to read sheet music. It's like a typing class but for music. Learning so many notes at a time, repetition, unlocking the next lesson once you achieve the lesson goal. It's great.

This is exactly what I needed and more. I have been trying to learn to read music for a while, and I had gotten to the point where I knew what notes were where, but it took me a while. I was not progressing to the point that I could look at a staff and instantly read the notes. THIS APP CHANGED THAT. Because of this app, I can now nearly instantly identify the note on the staff. The layout is very sophisticated. The app is very well designed.

The app is really good. It does what it says. The only issue is that the virtual piano outline is extremely light making it hard to press the correct notes. I have learned alot with this app but when it comes to doing the test or quizes in each lesson every time I press the correct key it is counted wrong due to the outline not being dark enough to differentiate the key notes. Please please fix.

This is app is so good, but it could be amazing. My asks: 1. On the drill select screen, add a graphic to match the key signature where there is a watermark of Emaj. Once drill is selected, do a simple (skippable) animation of a 🎹 showing which notes are sharp/flat. Preps the mind! 2. Interval/Chord training. Send a note out and ask for the note plus intervals and then stacks them into chords. Or send them out stacked and you select the interval. Things to make it more musical/progressive. ✌️

Never read sheet music before. I wanted to learn as independent as possible, and this even makes it feel like your average game. There's no ads, even before you purchase the full version. The full version is definitely worth the buy. It's not even 5 bucks to unlock so many new lessons and. 5/5 would definitely recommend!

I have worked with a lot of these kinds of apps. What makes this one stand out are the functions and options....for classic mode, where the notes slide over but stop if you are stuck (and not ending the game or session if you are slower on certain sequences)....the option for virtual keyboard or circle for note identification, the custom mode to work on weak notes and all different clefs and key signatures! Definitely worth it for honing your note reading skills.

Progressively helpful! I was stuck trying to grasp some initial fundamentals. I was at a stand still on my violin having a hard time for weeks trying to fit learning practice in between busyness. The learning drills are short but very helpful and because it's on my phone I can open it whenever and get some music reading training a few minutes at a time which is actually way better way to learn , at least for me , than trying to sit down and do long sessions. Learning music is no longer a chore

Great app, very helpful, love the games. I would change the arcade note reading game a bit. I love the idea, but it might be confusing to new students to see that a c5 is played "lower" (on the on-screen keyboard) than a B4, even though the note is higher on the staff. I'd limit the notes or expand the keyboard. Also, I love the explanations for the lessons, and I'd love to see even more animations like you have with the note reading lessons as well as limiting the information on each page.

This app is pretty good. It teaches you to recognize just a couple of notes at first and then expands your vocabulary one more note at a time. It has a video game like approach so that you're reading time is tracked so you can see how your speed is improving. I really only wanted it to learn bass and treble clef but this thing will teach you to read the whole orchestral range. Definitely worth a few bucks.

Excellent music trainer. I've been working with it for less than a week and already I remember the treble clef keys FAR faster than I ever have before. it is clear, easy to follow and understand, and has an excellent progression and organisation. I highly reccomend it for anyone wanting to learn to sight read or to improve their skills.

for a long time I found myself avoiding my piano because I was so terrible at reading sheet music it felt like it was just taking forever to read even simple songs. after a week or two of using this app and working through the first chapters, I'm able to recognize notes fast enough to crawl through a sheet of music. I'm sure if I keep practicing I'll be playing off sheet music soon

I really LOVE their other app for rhythm. This one has all the makings of being a fantastic companion to it, but I can't quite use it with my beginning students as effectively because the order they teach the notes in classic mode is not at all similar to the order they are learning them in their piano method books. It might be geared toward general music, but since it uses piano keyboard for input, it seems natural to gear it toward pianists. Or create a separate app that teaches for pianists.

I gave a 5 even though I haven't fully explored all the features. Am struggling to learn to recognize the treble clef notes quickly. Have spent most of my time in Chapter 1. The exercises there alone are well worth the modest price. I am 76 yrs old so I recognize that my brain doesn't have the neuroplasticity of a 10 year old. I need all the tools I can muster to help me. Using this app helps a lot prior to picking up my ukulele to practice finger picking exercises. My advice: get it.

It's been well over a decade since I read music. This app has brought it all back just in a couple days. Plus it has helped me teach my kids. Great app. Tip...if you seem to be "missing" notes because you have big fingers (🙋‍♂️) rotate your phone. I didn't realize this was an option until a few lessons in.
