Perfect Viewer is a very fast image/comics/ebook viewer.

I was using Perfect Viewer to view my hiking pictures and movies which are in structured folders by name and date. After some update the viewer no longer stays inside the folder I selected to view, it jumps around to pix that are inside other folders thus making the viewer unusable so I had to uninstall the app.

Would really be improved with the ability to add notes to specific areas of an ebook. I am also annoyed at the text selection feature that barely works and the lack of any information about dictionaries. What format is supported? I've wasted time gathering JSON, CSV, XML, and TXT dictionaries, yet none of them are accepted. Please provide information in the app about the expected format. The google search feature doesn't work at all. Thank you for supporting SMB shares, at least.

Use interface isn't suited to mobile phones. Just about every time ai tried to zoom to get a look at a panel, I'd wind up changing the page, or some other function, even with the interface mode set to "easiest". Probably works fine on a tablet

I've tried out almost all of the comic book reader apps on the Android market, and this is by far the best. Supports most file types, even epubs. Sorts each series by folder on the shelf. Nice UI, although the books on the shelf are smaller than I'd like even at the "large setting".

Good implementation but clunky, unintuitive UI. Perfect Viewer is what the Neutron app is to music players. It's nice, and feature-packed for a comic reader, but the outdated, unorganized UI mars the overall experience. P.S. Out of all its many possible features, there's no way at all to switch the viewer's background to black.

Incredibly good, but I've accidentally deleted a comic twice due to the "swipe to delete" option, which is on by default. I'm not downloading a cbz/cbr reader as a file manager, anyway, so I'd rather the function to delete not be there.

I'm one of the few people running Perfect Viewer on e-ink devices. Overall really superb experience, with my favourite touch and long press setup so that I can make most of the screen area as forward button. With webtoon (vertical scroll) mode starting a few versions ago, it was really nice, however as it's a scrolling mode, the ghosting effect caused by scrolling is really bad on e-ink, making webtoon-reading experience less and made me move to other app (which was inferior but has a continuous page mode) to read webtoon. Continous vertical page mode please, then it will be 5 stars for me. Thanks, overall pleased with one request.

Liked the earlier versions where you can easily one-hand the controls in the Main Menu using a 5" plus phone. At the moment, you have to shift your hand toward the top, making quick actions a pain to do. Need to move or have the option to move the "Home", "clip board icon thing" image editor?, "Settings", "History", and "Bookmarks" from top of the screen to the bottom, closer to the thumbs area.

Its good apps to read my Offline Manga and Novel collection, but I hope there these 3 option : 1. disable Cover Showing up on my folder while still showing up on my ZIP, PDF and CBR File. 2. setting to ask me everytime I open Book to either Continue my read or back to beginning. 3. option where everytime I open the apps its direct back to beginning of my l bookshelf than my last read.

After every page turn, perfect viewer always opens in the middle of the page. Rather than travel across the page when you press left or right, it just turns the page. You can only see the rest of the page you are on if you drag it left and right. Other than this, the app is great

Good app, but there is one issue I have with it - when I download a new comic (in my sd card) the app shows it, but no artwork on the thumbnail and when I try to open it, it says "no such file" or something like this. Even full scan don't fix it. I have to restart my device to fix that issue...

Latest update(s) kinda broke it? Been using it for a while and liked it, but lately at some images it will just stop. If I go back it displays folder again but thumbnails are gone and can't view/open. If I go back to root it will stay at generating file list for ages, then be ok unit the process repeats a minute later. Edit: Seems to be related to larger gif files? Also installed "File Viewer" instead which made me realize how slow PV is for images and in general.

Good for the most part. When sorting files from one place to another, it trips itself up, and will not properly view the source directory again until the app is restarted. Fix this, and the random closures, and you can have 5*, because there's nothing else I've found that does .webp so well.

Five Stars! Speed, Compatibility and Customizability. At install I was looking for a CBR reader with a nice library view and ongoing support. Coming from a previous reader with huge metadata capabilities, Perfect Viewer simply shows you files by the folders you’ve placed them in, with numeric and alphabetical sorting. (But now I don’t waste hours editing metadata, and tweeking conflicts, data and view types). More importantly, it's fast. Stored directly on the device, it is remarkable how responsive everything is. When using a SD card with a large library, (say 1500 files) it’s a smidge slower. When using cloud storage locations bandwidth and file size make a significant slowdown. Perfect Viewer has become my virtual “bookshelf”, coincidentally that’s what it calls the view. This reads everything, CBZ/ZIP, CBR/RAR, 7Z/CB7, LZH, CBT/TAR, EPUB, HTML, TXT, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP, TIFF (Get the Plugin and add, PDF, XPS & DJVU) I now have comics, magazines, books, manuals, absolutely everything, organized visually matching my file structure. Also something I like, if the file’s cover doesn’t match how you think of it, simply open the file and “Use page as cover”, done. No short comings, there's nothing else you need for viewing printed files.

It is a really good viewer but I think we need some features: 1.Tapping middle of the screen shows nav bar alongside with the menu, and when tap "back" on nav bar it should back out of the file viewer instead of hiding the menu AND the nav bar; 2.We really need an option to show full no-cropped title in the book shelf.

I mostly love this app. Used it for years. But lately I've been switching between comics and manga. That's proven to be an issue. The app is acting like I can set a per book reading direction, but anything other than the universal one doesn't work. I'm still mostly reading manga, so the default is right to left, but I'm trying to set my comics to l to r. It's not doing anything. No popup confirming, no change in behavior. only universal direction matters. Shame, as I still otherwise love the app

Great app. That's the best Android comic & e-book reader I've ever used, and I have three suggestions: 1, Add a user dictionary in "Convert Chinese characters" at "Preferences->EBook settings", because some words will be incorrectly converted. For example when I open "Convert to Traditional Chinese", the word "御坂" will be incorrectly converted to "御阪". If you add a user dictionary to the covert function, I can edit the rule: "convert '御坂' to '御坂' " when I open Convert to Trad. Chinese. As you can see I'm a Chinese, I know Conversion between Simp. Chinese and Trad. Chinese is a hard project, add a user dictionary is the easiest and most effective way I know. 2, The image scaling does not work when I read ePUB, so some images are too small or too big. Could you fix it? 3, A blank page will be inserted between two normal pages when I read a image-only ePUB. Could you fix it? My English is not good, so my review maybe hard to read. And, I will be donating for this app as it is well worth it.

This is a good one. The options layout is awful and it crashes pretty regularly on my older tablet but it does function well. Better than most. It recently reset all my preferences for some reason. Now I can't find how to make the image 'fit to width' anywhere in the options. Back to Challenger reader I guess..
