I've been looking for a good app to learn Korean and this is by far the best I've found. It's more structured than other apps which either just shot out vocab words or left me in the dark to fend for myself. The variety of exercises and ability to check learning tips and definitions in the app instead of on a desktop version has been extremely helpful, especially for learning grammar.

I've been slowly making my way through Japanese 1 with this app and I really like it! I've learned a lot of vocab I didn't know before, and it's been amazing for learning grammar. The pop quizzes and review functions are also helpful. I guess one complaint i have is the lack of variety of phrases you learn within each lesson. Usually you just learn a few phrases and then the lesson (and quizzes) ONLY ask you about those phrases. I'd like to see more variety in the future!

I've always wanted to learn Japanese and this app offers a great mix of self and guided learning! With the way the courses are grouped makes the learning experience streamlined and easy to pick up. But there are some issues I have run across. For certain questions I prefer to type my own answers to help familiarize with the characters, but there is nothing more fustarating than getting marked wrong because I used kanji rather than kana. It would be the perfect app if that were fixed otherwise!

Currently using this to help practice Chinese. It's better than duolingo in my opinion because it doesn't rely so much on pinyin and actually helps me remember the characters. Also the lessons are a little more structured and give you meaningful context so that you're not just learning random words, which is really important for language learning. Can't say anything about the other languages, though, as I haven't tried them.

I've used 8 different apps for learning Japanese, with 2 books. LingoDeer is the first I've wanted to purchase the full mode for. I purchased 1 full year. I am very far into duolingo, & other apps, and none have been as informative, and helpful as this one. I like that I can listen, then repeat, and hear my own voice. I've been able to correct a lot of pronunciation that way. There are extreme helpful learning tips before each lesson too! Only downside is no writing, or stroke order practice!!

Not the biggest fan of the layout overall. Feels a bit clunky sometimes. Audio can sometimes be too fast (Japanese,) especially for beginners. As an older member, having to pay premium for something that was free before, kinda stings. Especially how costly it is, in general, imo. And with such a little difference between a single course price, and the all course price, is odd. The single course's price should be DRASTICALLY lower than the all course's price, across the board.

Really great app. I love the option to turn off audio portions if necessary. Also, you can customize reviews. Honestly it's a lot better than DuoLingo. New vocabulary / grammar is introduced methodically rather than unexpectedly. I use it for Japanese and love the options on how I want text displayed. You can even type in Japanese for some portions if you switch keyboard languages.

I absolutely love this app for learning Japanese! The fact that you can tap on the parts of speech and they tell you what the mean, as well as the similar one's and their slightly different meanings (i.e. あれ, それ, これ) is something the other language apps like Duolingo lack. Not 5 stars only because of some minor bugs/improvements that can be made, like when you have to type in the message usually at the end of a lesson should be in a bit more randomized order. The last 5 I've done have been in order of the full sentence so not much thinking is done there. Other than that, it's wonderful!!!

Great way to learn new languages. I started on Duolingo, which worked really well, but it was extremely repetitive when it didnt need to be. with LingoDeer, the lessons are long enough to get their point across, with the ability to redo any lesson. Overall, this app helps a lot and is really fun/rewarding to use!

By far the best Japanese learning app I have found. I am very used to studying different languages, and this has an absolutely fantastic way of teaching, and the design is wonderful. For Japanese it even allows you to pick the alphabets or syllabaries you want to use, which is perfect for practising as you learn. I would make a few changes to the dark mode but other than that, perfect. Thank you, keep doing what you're doing!

I just successfully completed all French units. The experience was positive. I reached fluency, but not advanced. The French units had many, many mistakes! However customer service has been responsive. Hey, can you PLEASE add an advanced French level! The app is a great tool in how study and repetition is employed. The app is also excellently refined -- good photos and audio. However the annual subscription is too expensive! and it's NOT a one-time fee! 👎Only recommend if LingoDeer is CHEAPER!

so far I'm loving it. wake up with some study phrases repeat words in my head throughout the day as well as out loud. can be tough without an actual person assisting in pronunciation as well as in the app. there is audio recording but not correcting. so it sounds right to me in the audio recording but there is no indication from the app whether it is right or wrong.

I'm currently trying other apps for German as a comparison, and I think this one is the better of the bunch out there. It gives you a run down of basics for language understanding and doesn't just throw you right in like other apps. It also has a night mode do you don't strain your eyes. 10/10 best app for those wanting to understand the language of their choice. As a sidenote, I'm an English native speaker, so German is naturally easier to me. That's just something I think could be bias.

Great so far for Chinese. After paying 2 months to try it out, I just signed on for the year subscription. I love being able to toggle the pinyin on and off to help me with weak areas and challenge myself in areas I'm better at. The short lesson format makes it easy to squeeze in a lesson over lunch or on the bus. This app, for Chinese, blows away all the other apps I tried from so called "Top 5" lists. I paid from the start and didn't try the free version.

Awesome! it's fun and cute and has multiple methods of teaching new words (fill in the blank, which word is wrong, listen, speak, etc.)! I would say that it is not for complete beginners in Korean lang. but it does have a section on the Korean alphabet if needed. Also, I havent found a way to skip forward if you're an intermediate learner. Each lesson unlocks the next so you have to go step by step. But it's actually fun enough that I dont mind doing the review :)

It's really difficult for me to focus on one thing, but with this application and the scriptorium excirsize- I'm doing really good! This application is really vast and I really like how it's sorted to feel as though I have control but it's all really organized! But remember- to see progress you must put in your own effort. You're not going to see miracles right away! With this application, hardwork, and sprouts 7 ways to learn a language; you'll be speaking whatever language you want here!! 🌵

This app is great for learning. It presents things in an appropriate order and then reenforces those things as you go. It also has pop quiz quick study modes and challenge modes if you wanna go back and reenforce something. The only thing I feel like it is missing is smarter review sessions. Right now I have to pick what I think I need to review and I think it would be nice for it to tell me what my weak points are. But that's just a nice to have.

I'm learning Japanese and really enjoying it! ^_^ I feel that LingoDeer really bridges the gaps to a lot of questions that come through learning the nuances of a new language. The explanations are fantastic, and I feel like my retention has improved because my understanding has also been solidified. The quizzes and flashcards are great. Best part is that you get a conversational video at the end of each subject, and it breaks away from the book style to teach you a bit more than structure.
