Declined payment without any notification (-1 star). Also doesn't allow to add an backup account to automatically charge/convert from when insufficient amounts of one currency is available. Didn't allow to add funds before declining withdrawal (no delayed decline until EOB) Has an easy to use api, but not easy for use within MS Excel directly. Also has a website version. Refused to let me make payments to some businesses (-2 stars) App annoyed me with rating the app, so here is your rating...

Wise used to work fantastic until they changed to CITI bank two weeks ago. Since then, the app does not deliver. Transfers in BGN are being rejected by the Wise Europe bank (issuing bank authorizes the transaction no problem, but Wise's new bank refuses it). I explained this to Wise's customer service, multiple times. They keep insisting the problem is with my bank - clearly it is not. They gave me a document to show to my bank so that it authorizes the transfer. Appalling!

Authentication makes it impossible. My phone number changes as I travel countries, but now they need a single number I don't have. I already authenticated through the app before, but Wise thinks I have to have a single phone number. They need to use an authenticator like Google or Authy. Update: Was able to set authentication back to the app again so it no longer have to use phone number
Schmach & Schande
Wise is the most convenient finance app on my phone. Whether it is for seamless payments in any country or just to gain a level of transparency and control over credit cards that banks are too lazy to provide, I recommend Wise to basically anyone. I had bank accounts in 6 countries before Wise made most of that unnecessary. It's one of the very few services I recommended to friends without pretext

Fantastic app for international money transfers. I'm an American living in Australia and still have bank accounts in both countries so transferring between accounts is often necessary. Wise makes the process so simple at smooth and you get the best exchange rate every time.

Absolutely do not use!!! They changed my "guaranteed exchange rate" after I accepted, then after sending they took even more out from recipient. This is AFTER I canceled a transaction the month before and they didn't give me my full amount of money back. Currently working on getting my money back but I doubt this scammy app will give me any of it back.

Great app, worked well when we were in China with VPN and without VPN as long as we had Wi-Fi or internet, based on Telstra Global Roaming Data pack. Easy to check transactions. The Wise Visa Debit Card worked well in most ATMs in China. Easy to convert from one currency to another. Also worked well when linked to the AliPay App.

Wise compares with other banks which always turns out in their favor. But when comparing honestly using the exchange rate of the Thai bank (only stupid people transfer in their home country), and use the real fees for a SWIFT transfer, than it appears that Wise only gives you a very small advantage. Fees are high and increase regularly. Using SWIFT is not expensive. The difference in the exchange rate determines to use Wise or not. Most of the fees is for Wise, just like all other banks do.

I recently had a terrible experience with the Wise app. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service. The fact that they can hold your money hostage by simply mentioning a pet's name in an optional reference field is absolutely unacceptable. Additionally, their customer service is incredibly difficult to reach, and even when you do get through, they do not provide concise answers or solutions. I strongly advise everyone not to trust this app with your business or day-to-day needs.

The most horrible experience possible. You do not have proper support, which means that I cannot find a solution to my problem. My transfer got canceled, by whatever reason, that only God and hopefully someone from your side knows... but I wouldn't know, as there is only ONE way to contact you, and that is via email, and no one is replying... so guess what... I have no idea how to solve my problem!!! So, for anyone reading this! DO NOT USE WISE!!!!!

WISE is great when it works, but after years of use, they have closed my account without giving a reason beyond referring to terms & conditions. I handed over loads of personal data apparently for their KYC / AML compliance, but they then just closed my account despite nothing dodgy on my end. I can't recommend a service that shut me out without good reason or communication, but I'd use ot again if I could. Just make sure you have a backup in case they decide to close your account.

Well now this application became a nightmare..after attempting to transfer a large amount. They requested verification. I sent the ID with only one of my last names and got rejected. That I understand. After uploading my passport and was accepted, the software keeps rejectingy transfer. Followed all the customer service instructions , resend etc and the app keeps asking for a good ID. Cancelling my account. Nightmare software loop...

Ever since they "updated" their US bank information, transfers are ridiculously slow. Like, "Maybe it'll be here in 7 days! " slow. I sent a test deposit of $1 into my account and it won't show up for at least a week. When I emailed Wise, they just told me to use a much more expensive form of transfer. I wonder if they aren't doing this transfer slowdown deliberately to drive frustrated users to much more profitable methods of transfer. Sneaky-as-hell price gouging. Stay away.

They cancelled my transfer to an account which i have been sending money for the last 3 years now. Without any notice or issues stated. On top of that transfers now take 3 days instead on a couple of hours like before. This app deserves less than 1 star after the name change and the downfall.

I am new to this app and I tried registering an account. But I am unable to receive the security code for setting up my account. I am unable to get the code either through sms, whatsapp or voice call. It's been one month since im trying to set up my account. I uninstalled and reinstalled it many times but still it doesn't work. I tried using different phones to get the code on my phone number but all in vain. Please look into the matter because it is really disappointing for such a renowned app.

I really like the transfer times and cost. transparency was always huge and then taking the fee out of the balance being converted instead of making me do the math. also like their new comparison feature. I wish they'd add world remit to their price comparison

I have been using Wise for a while now. Very easy to use. They act with complete transparency. You can hold multiple coins in the same account, which is an excellent option for traveling/expats. And good fees as well...

Everything I was looking for. I needed to receive some insurance money from a US company and every part of the process was immaculate. The UI is fluid and intuitive, and other services like the letterhead documents are easy to find. To whoever is the Product Manager/Owner of this app: I admire you.
