I have a steam app on PC. Since I cant complain there i'll say it here. I have a problem with logging in. I have just created an account, and upon logging in the first time im hit with "too many retries" (error code : e84). I have waited several hours now and still the error persists. The help section provided is no help at all as there is literally no option for my problem. I cant even log in. There is no live agent to chat. Terrible. How long is the waiting period on this issue?

My gods is the app crashy and a hot mess. The overall functionality just isn't there and it runs really slow and I couldn't begin to tell you why. It does let you slowly buy games and look at your collection after it crashes twice. I also don't like that custom artwork for games is only available on the desktop version and that they accept some questionable games that are scammy to say the least. It's overall not very convinent and it drives me nuts because that was the point of the app.

It's so bad that they're actually losing themselves business!! Can you believe that? It won't even let me purchase games, which is the whole point of their existence. When trying to authenticate my PayPal account it just keeps popping back up the authentication window over and over. Wanted to buy 2 games, but I have given up now. Did ANYBODY actually TEST this app? Was it a primary school project?. Think I'll just buy the games via another platform instead. One that works. Goodbye Steam.

The complete redesign they did made it actually usable and as of right now the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the huge performance drop whenever I change menus. edit: Not sure what changed but I no longer have the big performance drops.

Update: unable to purchase with the app. It's useless. STEAM GUARD still terrible. Links that open the app all go to home screen instead of the link. I've had several purchases stopped, and because of this, stopped using STEAM WALLET altogether. I'm short, makes your Steam EXPERIENCE 100% WORSE.

The extra layers of security are tedious and don't feel that secure. Sometimes, it'll ask you to enter the authenticator code to login to the app you're trying to use to access your mobile authenticator if it updates or just if it's being wonky. Steam support is slow as hell. Missed all my spectator drops at TI because they wanted CD keys for account recovery (despite some people never having bought a game outside of steam and being able to supply far more secure info). Little to no response.

For me everything was fine. I had no problem in browsing games, and installing it. So I it two stars for that. But the main thing is, I cannot buy games from it properly. 95% of the times I buy a game, it fails. Last time I was trying to buy HALO MCC, and dying light. It won't loat the next form and give me the OTP. And it took me three days of continues trials of buying to have it. And this time, it's just cause 4. It is not working properly, I am unable to buy it. Please fix these problems

Annoying layout, I saw a purches from my bank account so I wanted to look back in my steam history because i don't remember things well and .....if there is a way i havent found it yet, it would be very nice to have a simple organized layout so I can interact with my purchases and game info without having to look high and low.

Absolute disgrace, my password won't work, even though it's saved and autofill. The captcha when trying to reset doesn't work cos it just keeps renewing images. Their email support tells me to login to get support, after reading the email about how I can't login. So all the money I've spent on steam games are all wasted and there is no way to speak to anyone cos I can't login or reset my password

I'm rather disappointed in the functionality and organization of this. Trades and confirmations frequenctly give errors and have to be accepted multiple times, app doesn't respond when opening from notifications sometimes, it's very difficult to find things like friend activity or trade history due to the ui and organization. Moving around the workshop/community discussions is very awkward at times. And steam chat has been moved onto another app. Edit/updated: crashes... Constantly

We used to have an integrated app that let us chat to friends and such. Now it's two? Also seems like it's significantly less responsive than it used to be. The design is also less user friendly. Very often looking up games in the store and wishlist fails, despite having internet. Overall it's a downgrade compared to what it used to be.

Not working properly. Consistently getting "There was a problem loading this web content" opening anything from a notification. I know it can render everything properly because it leads and shows the page fully for half a second, then replaces it with the error. Probably happening because I don't share my location or some similar disgusting reason.

A while back they did a big overhaul to the app. Now navigating it is gawd awful. It feels like it is focused towards iPhone users. One major example is when you hit the back button, it closes out the app. Why the hell would you want your app to do that? I have actively spent less money because the app just shuts down when I Wana go back one page to keep browsing games. Like c'mon. Back means back. Not go to home screen. Home means home. Lmao. Smh.

Not had many issues with it and it's as functional as I need it to be. One glaring problem I've noticed recently however is that paying via PayPal doesn't seem to work right now - it just gets locked up at the email prompt. A fix would be nice - just had to back out of buying a steamdeck via the app to go sort it out on my computer instead - and since I'm pretty much just using the app for faster purchasing in sales it makes it feel a little redundant.

It straight up says to sign in, even if you don't have an account, and when you do try to log in the system won't work and keeps repeating itself, if you have to use email, you have to go back and check to verify yourself, if it's verified the page where your starting an account restarts and then it just keeps repeating, if not it just says it's registered and nothing happens when it's loading, imagine not being to log in to an app because logging in is already a challenge

I really liked the latest steam app update. It works, it shows notifications for wishlist and all. But there are still some issues that needs to be fixed. For example, a lot of the time when I'm scrolling in the specials menu looking for deals, the prices gets cut off the screen like there isn't enough screen space to show the price and it gets worse the more I scroll. It's like zoomed in somehow and I can't zoom out to see the price. Please fix the issue otherwise the app is great! Thank you.

The new update is buggy. Very buggy, and it makes maneuvering the app a chore. There is more lag, and the search bar is bugged. When I search/type something the suggestion stay and don't disappear until I close the app. I'll press to cart while on the wishlist page and it does not register. The new UI is ugly and terrible. The windows 11 trick. The experience itself makes me not want to spend my money on steam.

App is slow to load, scrolling is overly sensitive, links to games are broken, sometimes it directs you to the right spot, other times it just takes you to the store home page. Before the store front would take you to interesting places if you kept exploring long enough, I'd spend a good amount of time hunting for hidden gems, now it has become more of a walled garden experience.
