I love it. Its definitely user friendly and beginner friendly. strong foundational understanding of coding . They literally make it super easy to learn coding. My only Gripe would be more advance levels of the. languages. They have the beginner intermediate part down, now more advance stuff. Not sure what others are complaining about as far as the price, I purchased a year subscription for $30. Not sure where this $60-$120 is coming from, even at $60 it's better than some of the free stuff.

NO! NO! NO! IT'S A TRICK! They tell you and even show you how much you can learn and how many choices of different career paths you can have and I will admit: they have an amazing, impressive setup and a fair-good amount of courses. I took the first step and began learning. It was fun! "Okay, good job! Ready for more?" I was like, Yeah! And the billing came up. I tried to take another course that had also seemed free at first (everything did) and I could do nothing more until I paid for it. BOO!

Mimo makes learning Python ridiculously simple. They teach a little at a time, and the in-app experience motives me to continue as I see myself progressing through the stages. There are ads, but they're not excessive and do not interrupt the lessons. They appear at the end of every lesson instead. I highly recommend the app for beginners. It's like Python for dummies.

Very helpful, I like the Duolingo-style, iterated lessons. My main gripe so far is that reviewing a lesson does not count towards your points that day. This discourages much-needed practice. The other problems I see are: 1) Frequently when you finish a section, the next section will not open up right away. Closing and opening the program seems to fix this, however. 2) Using the provided symbols is often clunky and infuriating. Sometimes it's easier to just find them in your phone keyboard.

I just started using it. So far it's simple and easy to use. People who like to guess and check learn will get the most benefit. If you prefer videos or auditory learning this might not be your best choice. I wish it had a little bit more variation in question formatting and an option to do a monthly script. It's still cheap for a year subscription but some might not have that upfront. I've only used it for about 20 mins so far though so my review my change! Happy learning!

Excellent, bite-sized lessons that really work. I tried teaching myself to code prior to this and always gave up, frustrated. I'm actually learning and retaining the info being presented *and* it's super fun. My only issue is that sometimes when I'm in a lesson, the app won't scroll, and navigating gets annoying when having to go back and check something further up on the page. But that might be because I have a slightly older phone.

Mimo is a fantastic app for learning about coding. With straightforward and easy-to-understand modules, I almost never have any confusion. It's been super fun using their playgrounds. By creating little HTML pages, I even made a friend on there! I had a problem with my subscription because I've recently fallen on hard times. I emailed them for a refund and within a day they fixed it with a kind email. I highly recommend this for any beginners.

I feel like I'm learning but it could be better. The app does not allow one to correct accidental selections (say your hand slips) even if one has not been graded yet. I have been frustrated a few times because I'm half way through an answer when I accidentally hit something I know is wrong and I can't fix it. The free version is practically nothing. The paid version has a lot of content.

I absolutely love the app, I was hesitant to download because I thought it was like every other app that just wants money and copies the courses. But this is a great experience, and it was quite fast for me to start learning. As advertised, they're bite-sized sections, which make them not so overwhelming. Only downside to the app is how many projects and challenges are locked and only for pro users. Which makes sense, they need to make money. If I could, I'd undoubtedly buy Pro in a heartbeat.

I loved it, really did. It was easy to understand and interactive. Until they ask for the monthly subscription. Here's the deal. If people like me go for apps like these I'm not planning to resort to it constantly. Meaning a monthly subscription is the worst for me. Specially if Im gonna treat this like a book. Let's say a year from now. I much rather buy a course than to pay monthly. Specially when there's so many free lessons out there.

Mimo is a quality app that does a great job of balancing in-depth learning through good portions in their exercises. My only two complaints are that, 1, it is too expensive to pay for yearly ($60/yr), and, 2, being a sucker for repetition, I find myself more reluctant to do the exercises I know I can't repeat (because I can't afford the paid version). Very nice app, but there are lots of other free or cheaper resources that are also very nice and effective.

So, the app uses simple language to explain things, which is good way to teach beginners. App doesn't have ads (at least I didn't notice any), but it makes money through selling the full course with all classes. Free version doesn't have all of them unlocked, in fact, the options are rather limited. It's fair, the Devs still need to make some profit out of it, but I can't review the product without the full access and 60$ per year is a bit pricey for me at the moment.

I like this app a lot. I feel like the lessons move a bit slowly for me, but I have dabbled with coding and already understand the basic concepts. If the lessons were available on desktop, I would definitely upgrade to a pro subscription. As the lessons get more advanced, it feels less than ideal to do on my phone because I can type so much faster on my laptop. I did notice the projects are available on the web version, but it would be awesome if the lessons were, too.

Excellent! I'm a "true" beginner and this app so far is perfect for my learning ability. It keeps it interesting and simplistic. I've read some other reviews that this isn't realistic, that coding isn't clicking the right prefilled coding option and while I agree I believe the point is missed in that this is for learning. Remembering that this is for learning and taking notes throughout the process to return back to is essential as well. This review is for the free version.

I really love this app. It's helping me refresh my Python knowledge a little bit day by day. The ads are rare and non-intrustive (no sound or images, just text). The leaderboards and streaks are fun. Although there have been a couple of times where a lesson I completed hasn't saved, which caused me to lose my streak. But besides that, this app is fantastic!

Overall this app does what it says. I've found the lessons quick and informative. One of the best parts is the coding challenges that get you thinking about what you learn and applying it. Unfortunately, these seem really limited. I did a few weeks of the challenges and they stopped. Seeing as how they sell year-long memberships I would expect more than 20 challenges. Also, the ability to go back and review previous lessons is not included, so you can't go back later. Content++ please!

After completing the first tutorial quiz, I was blocked off from continuing because I had to buy a subscription. I'm uninstalling the app since I could probably learn coding some other way for free. The interface was clean and easy to navigate, and the lessions were easy to follow. It's like Duolingo for coding. As far as I've seen it seems like a worthwhile app to use if you don't mind spending ten dollars a month.

Really great for an absolute beginner. The information is presented in a logical, clear, concise manner that makes learning and practicing very easy. The big downside is that coding is inherently clunky on a mobile device, and while Mimo has made the UI pretty good considering this, it's still not totally ideal. I'd recommend using the Link to Windows feature if you're able. I find it much easier to use the app while projecting on my PC and using my mouse and keyboard.
