Sometimes I can sign in and read the content I am paying for. Quite often I can't though. Terrible app considering I have a paid subscription. Edit July 2023: Now I get email alerts from opening this app saying my account was accessed from a new device. It's the same device I've had for years. Crunchyroll, why are you so bad?

It never saves my favourites or my bookmarks, so i always have to go and search for where I left off last time. Not a huge selection of things to read, but enough of my favourites so I'm happy enough. The reading experience itself is quite good. I just wish all the features worked properly on my phone.

This app is the sorriest excuse for a manga reader I've seen. It has good series but the functionality is abysmal. You can't sort by last updated, the new tag doesn't clear if you've read the most recent, certain chapters in series won't ever load and favorites hasn't worked for years (even after uninstalling and wiping app data). Crunchyroll, please put some effort in. These aren't hard features.

The app won't let me log in. I logged out and back into of the main (anime) app, and there's nothing wrong with the credentials. I also tried closing the app and trying again, didn't work. And I uninstalled and reinstalled the mana app and that didn't work either. This is extremely annoying. Why pay for content that you can't access?

Can read and that's it. Can't favourite anything and there isn't that great of a collection to chose from. Needs more genres listings. Freezes sometimes when changing chapters. The next update needs to fix alot of stuff and it needs to happen soon. 2 stars only cause I can read a few manga I actually like and want to read. Everything else is pretty much...MEH.

Worst app I've used in recent years. Manga collection aside (cause that probably depends on their publishing rights): User interface is horrible. Can't change the page flip direction. It signs me outs after every chapter, so I have to keep signing in. Glitches when I flip backwards to re-read pages. Overall a very frustrating experience.

Latest update broke the favorites: they are now empty and it fails to add titles. Some new chapters don't load properly and only show white pages (e.g. APOSIMZ ch.22). Pages randomly load incorrect content (e.g. page 23 shows page 1 content), going back to reload previous page usually solves this. Overall, this app is quite good except for the issues mentioned, but it would be nice to have some kind of "Manga Premium" to access more titles and the missing chapters, to avoid 60 chapters gaps...

I was reading Crayon Shin-Chan and after Chapter-7 it stopped and stuck on loading screen. App has potential though, I like how it can focus on what part to read next. Edited : Changing 5 Rating to 1. Experiencing same issue, Sometimes chapters stucks at loading. Many pages of manga Shin-chan are swapped. Its a suffering itself to read it.

Impossible to add favorite, your bookmarks disappear for no reasons after a while, when you activate or deactivate options in your settings you get " data error " ...... yes reading work fine hence the 2 stars but it needs to be fix i remember having the same issue waaaayyyyyy back! Why don't you fix this app? It's a great addition to your subscription but you seem to ignore it??? Edit : ok the last patch made the app usable again... but still, page duplicate, you have to go back and reload...

Not even worth a star right now. It won't recognise that I have a premium account AT ALL. It logs me out every time the app is closed, or if I pop over to a different app, say to replay to a message, and pop back, boom, logged out. The actual usability of the app isn't bad, but crunchyroll needs to fix the back end issues making this app unusable. This isn't even the first time I've tried the app and nothing has changed since the last time I tried. Glad to see I payed for this.

While there are some good manga on here, the app is almost never updated, so you are left with only a few chapters of a manga and that is it, some start at a much later chapter (chapter 64 for example) with no prior chapters on the app, while other mangas have chapters that won't load. I've been with Crunchyroll for years. I almost never use this app as there is barely ever any new chapters of the manga I'm reading or even any new mangas. For nearly 5 years now and this app has not improved.

Terrible app. Besides the problems mentioned in other reviews, I emailed customer service because a chapter in Arpeggio doesn't load and it hasn't been fixed in half a year. They seemed uninterested in fixing the problems with the app and told me "it's available on the site" which doesn't really work on mobile. Which is the only internet access I have.

Only has about 30 titles and the only one that I was interested in of those only had the first 5%then skipped to the last 5%. Which just doesn't make sense. I just signed up for crunchyroll and was excited and went to a higher membership just to have this included only to find out it was a waste would give 0 stars if possible. If they complete the titles they have and add more then I'm sure it could be great. As of now not worth the space on my phone.

Sometimes the pages get jumbled when I'm reading and when I go to the next page, it's actually from several pages ago or it has skipped some pages. There are also manga with plenty of missing chapters. Additionally, I would expect some decent quality when I pay for manga. However, in some manga you can clearly see where they have cleaned text from the pages because it's been done so poorly or they just put the text right over the original without cleaning it.

The app is pretty much dead at this point. I'll sign in to read and when I select the chapter I want to read, I'm automatically signed out. I literally can't use the service anymore. The browser version still runs on flash so the whole thing is gonna be dead at the end of the year. Really wish this app received actual support instead of being left to die in a ditch.

Honestly, I can forgive most of the issues people have regarding poor selection, but I can't forgive the jankiness of the app. Very often, you'll turn a page of a manga and it'll just pick a completely different page to show you, giving you a messy & odd story. It's like hitting a shuffle button on all your manga. The app should be taken down and fixed, honestly, because this is not good at all.

I sadly have go agree with most other people. I was excited when I found crunchyroll, that I could finally read manga alongside watching anime. There's only a very small selection of manga, and the user interface makes no sense to me. I don't think the bookmarks or favorites works, all I see is a list of a few mangas. Very sad considering it's a part of the "premium" membership.

the basics don't function properly. whatever functions are included don't work well often even if you're paying for it. like my favourites and bookmarks are usually missing. even try to log out and log back in doesn't fix the issue now. sometimes it does. I don't know how to access them on the desktop version of the site either. so i took a screenshot of the favorites list when it was available. the good thing is that you know where you left off in the manga. that's an important function that wor
