The app is easy to use and a fantastic teacher! I can't recommend it enough. But I do have one problem. I keep trying to change from the 3 month subscription to yearly but, when I try, it crashes or gives me an error report to file. Everytime. I've reported the error. But, so far, no change. Now it won't let me renew my subscription at all. If I can get that fixed, it would be an easy 5 stars.

I really loved the app for the first lesson, and I was sure that this was going to be my ASL learning app. Unfortunately, the price is far too high; enough to cover an actual class if you use it for a year! Maybe I will try again when I have a couple hundred dollars. I loved the polished design, mirror option to see if you're doing it right and ESPECIALLY loved the dialog sections. This app is for well-off people and if you don't have money, you should try elsewhere. Again, unfortunate.

Love the app but... When learning a new word we are only shown 1 way to sign it. However, during the lessons other signers use that same word but in a slightly different way. This wouldn't be as confusing if you showed us the different ways in the beginning. I think it would be helpful to have videos of 2-3 different people show the signs of a word when we first learn them, and have those same examples as references in the dictionary.

So far so good, but starting to have issues I paid upfront for the year, and I've gotten a few lessons in, but now it's starting to glitch and I can't get it to load, or the video to play. If i can get assistance, ill update my review, but I'm bummed. On the plus side, i have learn a lot of basic signs and simple conversations in just a week. I mean really simple, like a 2 year olds vocab in ASL

Excellent app for learning ASL. Best I've found so far, but I rate it 3 stars because my learning streak keeps resetting for no reason. I have yet to miss a lesson or day, but it has reset twice now. This last time it dropped from 56 to 24. I'm not even sure what would cause that. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is to me as it's a source of pride and a good way to stay in the groove with accountability. If they'd fix that, this app would be a perfect 5 stars. ETA: updating to 4 stars.

Okay.. while I think it could be a great app, I was thinking the "in app purchases" ment like.. side lessons. Not a case of getting four free lessons and then having to upgrade to premium to get anything else. Maybe just listing it as a paid app with a free trial would be better.. so as a heads up to anyone that reads this. The app itself is great but you need to pay for it despite it being listed as a free app. You can download it for free. Then immediately subscribe.

This app is exceptional for learning ASL. I use it in addition to taking weekly ASL classes on Zoom, and it gives me more opportunities to learn to understand others' signing when I don't have someone else to practice with. I like that they have different signers with different styles. The only thing I'd improve is there seems to be a bug with how the "milestone" quizzes between units get graded, which is annoying but you can skip them or repeat them to get through.

The app content itself is extremely helpful. It not only teaches vocab but also helps you get used to different types of signing as well as using context clues to understand vocab you don't understand. The 4 star rating is because of the price and subscription setup. You can't access anything past the first lesson unless you pay (at least) 17.99 for a subscription. I only wanted 1 month to try it out but unfortunately the subscription auto-renews with no way to turn it off without cancelling.

From what I could tell from the first module, this seems like an excellent app. Very clear, great explanations, videos, exercises, etc. However, that's all I was able to experience considering everything else is locked unless you pay to upgrade the app. & It's a little pricey too. I seen another comment saying how ASL is already so restricted. It's true, they could opt for ads or offer a few lessons a day, etc. Really a shame for such a good app!

Getting this app was easy and I thought when I got it everything in it was going to be free type of thing. That was not the case. You have very little lessons available. They were good lessons but I can't convince myself to buy a membership. As far as I could tell it was a good app I just don't have all the access abilities to rate most of the features like the dictionary. The videos were informative and I did all the available lessons I could.

The first lesson was very well done, and the app was very pleasing to the eye and satisfying to use. But unfortunately the subscription is far too expensive for me to get at this time. I wish that it was similar to duolingo, where the majority was available with some perks that came with the premium. Without the crazy high subscription this would be a perfect resource

I like this app, it has an attractive interface and is fairly user friendly. I don't mind it being subscription based like some people. If you're serious about learning a language you expect to pay for it. I have a few minor issues. 1- so far the the app has not pointed out that some words have multiple signs/regional variations. 2- the mirror feature doesn't flip my camera, so i can't accurately compare how my signs look to the instructors signs. 3- the sign library needs to be bigger.

It says it's a free app and it is free to download, but after the introduction module you have to upgrade to premium if you want to do anything else. So you get the intro for free and then have to pay for all of the other lessons. If you are someone who is fine paying then it does seem like a good app to start learning on, but I was kinda disappointed in it being "free" when you actually having to upgrade it for any of the actual lessons.

I really enjoyed the first (free) exercise. But I just can't afford the one-time $120.. and $18/month ($216) is pretty steep too. So I personally will chose other alternatives to learning. Maybe if I can commit to actually learning for a while, I will treat myself to this subscription a bit later down the road.. It seems worthwhile, if you can spend the money!

From my short experience app is created well and easy to use. The videos are amazing. My only complaint is cost, a bit too expensive which prohibits others from using it. 🤷 For transparency it's 17$ per month or 10 if you pay the whole year in advanced. Unfortunately not all of us have so much disposable income so I'll have two look elsewhere.

The first lesson was great. I liked the layout and how it was done, but after that you have to pay to do literally everything else. It's way too high in my opinion when there are other apps half the price. I wish it had a free version that you pay for an upgraded "premium" version that had more perks and learning tools. This app had the potential to be 5 stars.

It's how much? It seems to be a fantastic program (I think, you only get a couple, VERY brief lessons), but $18 a month is beyond ridiculous. The $10/month option is reasonable but isn't REALLY monthly as we are ONLY given the option to pay once a year. I would love to give 5 stars, the price is just too high without enough to go on before paying so much. Yes, people should get paid for their hard work. But an entire year for an app should not cost the same as a one-semester college course.

I have been using this app for about 9 months. The cost is worth it, like paying for classes. I have learned enough to reasonably communicate with deaf individuals at the museum where I lead tours and it feels amazing. Small issues: videos occasionally hard to load. Not always easy to navigate the menu (would prefer it tell me when I finish a lesson). And sometimes they use signs that they haven't actually taught yet or use different signs than what they taught me (like for the word student).
