Pleased with the app. Easy to navigate. Would be helpful if people advertising properties to rent were obliged to post photos of what's on offer...

I prefer the app to the actual website. The chat is faster and easier to use. It also automatically saves the search as opposed to the website. And you don't have to worry about tons of emails. The only drawbacks are that the "show interest" is not visible nor the copy add options so it is hard to send adds through the chat.

Guys for what reason I payed money??? I can still find in free version room. I'm very disappointed!!!! I payed I think twice for your services and still no difference. Bad service, and pay money for what, In wind... (((( Please don't contact me back about this question!!! I'm not gonna change my feedback.

Very good service to find flatmate and a room! Only change I would make is by requiring multiple pictures of flats and for individuals to provide bio's. This would help more people in selling themselves and their property.

Very useful, but interface is a bit clunky. When editing room details, the app requires you to go through every step each time you want to make an edit (rather than just skipping straight to the description, for example). The way photos are uploaded could also be smoother.

Love the facility to post a Room Wanted ad, was approached by exactly the kind of landlords with properties that matched perfectly. It would be the perfect app if one could "show interest" from the app as you do on the desktop version. Aside from that, it's definitely a 10 out of 10 and the best app available for quickly finding what's available out there. Much much better than any other room seeking app. Well done and thank you!

Premium is useless as no landlords ever answer messages. Waste of money, for something that was free a year ago.

I was pretty reluctant to pay, but it was absolutely worth it. Ended up with way more options than I wouldn't had, and as a result found somewhere better and cheaper than I would've done otherwise... that money I spent will be made back in the first week of rent. App and website work really well, similar design to Zoopla and Rightmove but that little bit more user-friendly. Which actually ends up making a huge difference when you're looking at dozens of places every day.

Even when you pay these people, you don't get proper visibility. Before spareroom was much better. They promise that you can suspend your monthly premium subscription and renew it, but there is no button to do that and reactivate easily. You have to go onto the computer, watch 3 tutorials to be able to do that. So it feels they have hidden this facility on purpose, so that their promise stays only in paper. Not very ethical trading. But in the end of the day, yes you can find room mates there.

I think it's a great app, really useful and especially easy to use on the mobile version. Although, it is frustrating when you make an advanced search and then rooms come up that don't fit the search. Whether this is because landlords somstimes don't make sure to include all the relevant info or because the search is buggy, I don't know. I also don't like the Early Bird system, although I don't begrudge the app too much for this, if it's how it makes its money.

Most of the features on this app work perfectly well, and I am often on it due to the ease of use. Having used it previously, I'm impressed by how good the app is now. I have one problem with the app: when I am scrolling through an advert, the app snaps to different sections rather than letting me scroll properly. I like to scroll continuously rather than having the app decide what I'm looking for. Sometimes I have to flick up on the screen in order to see the whole ad. It's really annoying.

Great app since it offers a lot more options and filters compared to websites such as Guntree. It also states it out when the message is read so it is really helpful. However, I think some of the people who have placed their ads online should take it down once they have found the right person. It can be misleading sometimes to have an advert still placed as "Available" when it is not. Otherwise, the functionality and interface is perfect!

Very bad experience. No one ever responds & even if some does most of them say the house is already taken.If it's taken then remove the bloody ad you dumb idiot.App itself recommends rooms that are outside my search area what is the use of the filter then.I even did an upgrade in SpareRoom thinking something might show up but it's more worse now.Do not install and if installed do not upgrade as the room that you cannot contact without an upgrade when you upgrade and contact them they don't reply

In this update, we’ve refreshed the design of the map version of our search results. You’ll now see different map pins depending on whether and how you’ve interacted with ads. You’ll see whether you’ve viewed them, saved them, hidden them, shown interest in them, or contacted them by message or phone. We’ve also introduced a new type of map pin: price pins (i.e. monthly or weekly rental amount). You can switch between the existing and the new type of map pin from the Setting screen.
