Not very accurate, I keep getting alerts for my dog leaving and entering the virtual fence when he's setting right beside me or no more than a few feet away. That doesn't always happen about half the time or a little more it's very accurate but the rest of the time not so much. For some reason it sometimes helps if I turn the live off and on a time or two.

Everything that I would expect and hope for from a pet tracking device/app. I had a poor experience with a different companies tracker and Tractive as been a complete 180 experience. The battery lasts for days, it actually updates my pets location over the course of the day. it gives notifications when she leaves/enters safe zones, offers the ability to live track her to get real time location, and has the ability to make noise/light up for when you need some extra assistance.

I had WiFi set up, but if it's dark and the cat is still out I'll sometimes delete the WiFi from the app, so that it goes into GPS mode so I can find the cat (or at least know where she is). Instead of it saying she's in a safe zone. Before I could add the WiFi back without any problems, it would pick up like ten different WiFi signals, but lately it can't pick up any. It's been searching for about the last ten minutes and can't find one WiFi signal. The device is 20 ft from the router.

It was disappointing to learn I couldn't use the wifi power saving mode due to it only apparently working for 2.4 ghz networks, but overall tractive has been good. I have had instances in the middle of the night where it will say my dog has left the geo fence for like a minute and then came back (which is impossible) but I find tractive to accurately place the dog around 2,000 ft around where it says they are. The app can have a hard time syncing and I still need to test a "runaway" scenario.

This product is awesome! We have tried other tracking collars for our adventurers and all of them failed in comparison to the Tractive. It allows you to live track a dog and provides a line to show you where they've been and where they are at in real time. If you don't have good cell service in your area (like we don't), it could be touch and go, but it is pinpoint accurate and is constantly working to get a signal, so it picks up regularly. The battery lasts a few days at best.

no longer have to worry about where my cat is at on his daily strolls. He lost his tracker and Tractive sent me a new one no questions asked. Only thing that is frustrating is the tracker is not as accurate as it should be making it difficult to find when he does loose it. Maybe of the sound option was a bit louder that would help. Otherwise, I love it !!

Just what we needed! Tracks our very active young dog when off leash. We press the sound icon when he's out of sight and he comes right back. We love the waterproof feature because he LOVES the water. The battery holds its charge, especially since it has a power saving mode for a defined area around our home. The tracker has stayed attached to his collar so far, even when he rolls on the ground, runs in brush, and swims.

I'd give 5 stars but the battery life isn't the best, I have to charge the tracker about once or twice a week - but it charges quick! also the subscription can be deceptive. the cheapest option is actually for a whole year subscription and there is no option to trial it for a week or month. overall it works great and am happy I bought the tracker!

Since this app is a necessary part of the tracker, I will say something about both. The app is okay, but I there a couple of items that are not obvious, then in an update things change. The tracker only uses T-Mobile here in the USA, which is not very good where I live; maybe if there's a new version, perhaps there will be an option for other carriers. The charging connector is somewhat difficult to connect, and usually takes more than one try.

There are a lot of features in the app I really like but there are some significant issues. There are a lot of inconsistencies in data syncing. Some days it updates on its own, most days I have to stop the app and restart multiple times for the dog's activity to show up. Frequently the device is right next to me and it says the tracker is not near me with no obstruction to the sky. Google Pixel 4XL

Mostly positive. Its typical for signal to bounce a bit. The map is over 4 years old, but I think Google hasn't updated that part. Actual location can be off by several yards but it's pretty darn close.! I don't like all the updates needed and sometimes it won't show my kitty's icon on the map. Hoping this update fixes that glitch. Overall, this app is good. 😊

Works better then expected. Had a few issues with the collar not exiting power save mode when my cat would leave the yard. Couldn't track for a few hours and no way to override the system to wake it back up. Even shutting off Wi-Fi router to try to get it to connect. The GPS will jump the location at times. But accurate when in live mode.

I have been using this app for almost four years. Initially, it was great. The accuracy was reliable and spot on even without using Bluetooth. Over the years, performance in every measure has degraded substantially. I tried numerous times to resolve issues with support. When they finally did get back to me after days or weeks, the response was always the same... run the diagnostics and viola, everything looks good to them. If there was a better option I would use it.

Really well thought out app. I only have one complaint. I like the fact you can have a power saving profile by using your local Wifi to define when to go into power saving. Of course, many features are disabled to use less battery for the tracker. But there is no way of getting out of this mode until your dog leaves the Wifi area coverage. This is frustrating if you want to check say activity if you are away from home and your dog is home. There is usually an error saying tracker not found.

Amazing! Easy to use, very accurate. I have a indoor/outdoor cat and this gave me his exact location. We tested it at night and the light and sound were very helpful. Im sure the sound cant be too loud because of sensitive ears, but it would be nice to have a sound play off the phone when you are close by like a metal detector. The rings option was off as he was in front of us with no rings. I'd recommend this to anyone who has an indoor/outdoor cat who likes to stay out for extended hours.

Tractive is a great product and overall very accurate. Sometimes the GPS signal is weak so I have to give it 1 or 2 minutes to update. I really like the live feature for my cat. There is also a history so you can see where your pet was. I do wish the subscription was transferable incase the tracker fails. There is an option to have a protection plan for the tracker itself but id rather be able to upgrade in a few years similar to buying a new phone and keeping the plan. Need horses added!

Generally a good, functional app with some nice activity tracking features. The main issue is a lack of several practical options on how to use features that are already included. Such as: - An option to automatically turn on the sound/light when a pet leaves the virtual fence. - An option to override the battery-saving wifi mode when trying to locate your pet. - An option to force the GPS to relocate rather than waiting for a timed update.

Works as expected. (Updating review after reading so many bad ones). I'm a fan. I let the dog out and hit "live" and can watch where she goes with impressive accuracy - about a 5 second delay. I am in an area with excellent cell coverage. Also, my battery lasts 2 days on a charge depending on how long I'm tracking her "live." The more you live track, the faster it uses battery - probably because there's a blinking light on the collar that activates as well as the sound if you choose.
