I love what this app can do as far as me connecting with friends and loved 1s far away. But there are too many glitches. I get a text in the middle of a video chat and the whole video freezes 🥶 and then I have to close the app and reopen it for it to work again. Sometimes the video will not shut off and it just freezes a LOT!!! PLZ FIX!!!

awesome way to keep in contact with others when it's not always convenient for a phone call or view chat. would like to have a live option when both parties are online and available at the same time. a lot of the free features you now have to pay for which sucks, but my friends and family are able to stay in contact which is great

I wish they didn't charge for features that used to be free. Also, sometimes I record an entire video and it freezes and I can't hit stop, so I close the app to end it and then the video won't play back. It's an annoying glitch. I lose the entire video. Edit: To get 5 stars, read my review.

I have been using this app for years, but within the last couple months polos won't load, and cut off mid-sentence. I get a pop-up that says "cannot play video" . I've updated the app, restarted my phone, tried playing it on internet versus data... Nothing makes a difference. They just won't load anymore.

What was once a great app has now been abysmal for the past 6 months. Constant playback errors, videos cut short out of the blue, videos taking forever to come through, videos you thought you recorded and then somehow it didn't record after you just talked to your phone for 5 minutes. What the heck happened? This is unacceptable for sixty dollars a year.

Went from 5 stars down to two, back up to 4. I absolutely love this app and use it almost daily and considering to pay for the premium service. It had so many bugs the last few months, ending with the app shutting down upon opening it. I had to completely uninstall, reinstall and NOT UPDATE IT! Why it claims to need an update after installing it is beyond me but that's the only way I got it to stop being buggy.

This hap has been the main way that my best friends and I have kept in touch over the last few years. In the last two weeks though it's totally impossible to use it crashes constantly cuts off in the middle of videos of uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Please fix the bugs!!!

I've been a user since way before the subscription started. I miss the features that now have to be paid for. It would be nice to at least get back the ability to rewind/ff with the seeker, not the 5sec button OR the 2x speed. Also, just had a video timeout on me again. Am i going to have to un/reinstall every time it happens?? That's not a viable solution which is why I can't go beyond 4 stars. And I'd really like to give it 3, but your responsiveness alone is worth a whole star.

It's been crashing, freezing, won't let me fast forward through messages anymore. Not sure what happened, but ever since the last update this app has been virtually useless. (Funny enough, my friend who pays for the Plus option has had no issues. Wonder if the free version is "broken" to make people upgrade?)

I have been using MP for years. I have never had issues until now. It is constantly cutting either my message short or my friends/family message short. We have contacted MP and they told us to unistall the app and restart your phone. Which I had to do multiple times, but the problems keep coming. Does anyone have an alternative app? Update: I found an app called "Glide".. it's pretty good! And best of all no cutting off of messages! And it's free, you can fast forward if need be at no extra $.

As many others have pointed out the quality of the application has gone down as you guys have changed these subscription models and features. I'm on a Galaxy s23 ultra which can obviously more than handle the application. I don't know if you have problems with new operating systems or what the situation is but many times it will freeze when you're going to send a video. You have to quit the application and then try to record again. It's something to do with the way your application is working.

It used to work so good with no problems at all, now they want to charge for all the extras when half the time the messages don't go through. always spinning or freezing up. Even if you uninstall it and download it again it still doesn't work properly. I would never pay the prices they ask for when the service sucks this bad. Google meet is where it's at now!!!

EDIT: Since the app had started aggressively advertising its paid features, the app has disintegrated entirely. The quality of the videos diminished and EVERYTIME I record, it will crash. So, I spend minutes talking and recording and once I press stop, the app freezes and it will say "cannot playback". Yes, I have an updated version. Yes, I clear cache. Yes, mg device is new. It is becoming to cumbersome that I rather refrain from engaging in this. It's my "snapchat" for old people.

Edited 9/5/23-love this app! Edit 7/15/22- ever since day week, Marco Polo is crashing constantly and I can't even get the app to open. The change literally happened in the middle of watching a polo coming through. Please fix the bug since we can't use the app at all. Great way to keep in touch,especially with grandparents or other family. It's great to be able to have the videos with your message. We use it all the time!

I have the paid subscription because it helps promote communication with family across the country on their own time, but lately the app has been so glitchy. I can't pause, fast forward, or resume a video clip without it freezing. If it does play, it is severely delayed (almost not moving) and there is no sound. I'm also having trouble recording things and now videos will get part way through before displaying "Video Playback Error". For what I'm paying, this absolutely should not be happening

Edit to original review; used to work great but I've had to drop it from 5 stars to 2! The videos don't load properly, just pending, videos getting cut off abruptly and the sender can see the entire video. I keep it updated, have uninstalled and reinstalled MANY times. I've reported about 6 videos in 3 mons. I did love Marco Polo! I've used it for a few years now and paid for the annual membership. I wish it did not drain my battery so much, but I guess that's the price of video texting.

Please fix it!!! I love this app because it has brought my friends and I so much closer, but lately it is incredibly frustrating!!! Videos will randomly cut off and when I contacted support they advised me to Uninstall and reinstall the app. This usually works but I'm having to do this multiple times a week! We have a paid version, it's way too expensive to have these sort of problems! I'm going to start looking for an alternative if it's not fixed soon.

I want to love it! Especially since my best friend and I have been using it for years, but not without constant problems the last year on my end. I'm a droid user, she's an iPhone. I update the app constantly, she's never updated and doesn't have a problem. Lately, I can't even get things to open without the close app, wait, report warning coming up. Going to have to go a different route for our correspondence ... I've emailed with support to no avail. Even tried doing the premium option.
